The second sun rises in the south, and the mountains shine. The leaves on the trees are silver, and when they catch the light every morning, it looks like a forest on fire. When the autumn comes, the breeze blows through the branches like a song. Gallifrey, The Shining World of the Seven Systems... The homeworld of the Time Lords.
Location & Landscape
Gallifrey is located in the constellation of Kasterborous, at galactic coordinates 10-0-11-00:02 from Galactic Zero Centre. Several accounts place it more or less at the centre of its galaxy. From orbit, Gallifrey is rust-coloured, with brown lakes and grey clouds. From the planet's surface, it boasts an orange sky at night, snow-capped mountains, fields of red grass, and trees with bright silver leaves. These reflect the morning sunlight, making it look like the forests are on fire. There are also green forests, golden fields and red deserts, but overall it seems to be a much drier world than Earth. The wastelands around the Capitol are referred to as "outer Gallifrey" by the Time Lords. Some even called said area drylands, claiming that no one of importance lived there.

The Capitol
The largest city on Gallifrey is the Capitol, sometimes also called "Gallifrey" or "the Citadel" and is the home of most of the Time Lords. On the continent of Wild Endeavour, in the mountains of Solace and Solitude stands the Capitol of the Time Lords, which was built on the remains of the original Capitol that was destroyed in the Gallifreyan Civil War. It is surrounded by a protective transparent sphere. It rests on a large, vertical beam, with a wheel-like structure securing it. Located on the top of the Capitol is the Lord President's office.
The Panopticon is the main room of the Capitol, where the Eye of Harmony is secretly kept far below. The High Council meets in the Capitol. There is a transmat system that links the Council's room to the Death Zone and also to the Lord President's Office. Also on Gallifrey is the Time Lord Academy and the Prydonian Academy. The Vaults are located underneath the Capitol. The Vaults contain the ruins of the original Capitol, a graveyard for TARDISes and the Cloisters, which house the Matrix and Cloister Bells. Surrounding the Vaults are ducts and service ways dating from the Old Time. There is a repair shop in the Capitol, among the items there are TARDISes and rarely Battle TARDISes.

Arcadia
Arcadia is Gallifrey's second largest city. It is famous for being protected with over 400 sky trenches, which were later spread to other cities during the Games' era. It is the hometown of many prodigious Time Lords, who move to Citadel later on to continue their education.
