With Miko and Kaguya having a reunion that certainly didn't fit a gap of individual days, Yugi remained in observation mode. Many things were strange, and he'd find out what they were. Luckily, Miko's friend was very forthcoming with information. It was always a boon to have conversations naturally progress in such a way as to divulge necessary hints, removing the requirement for excessive prodding. Miko said initially that she'd seen this girl only a few days prior. The speech of the red-eyed lass, however, involved mention of a year apart. Surely Miko hadn't been through enough to lose or confuse that much time. 'That makes sense of the plants. The Iino family doesn't live here anymore, and probably hasn't... since that day. Yesterday for us,' he thought. A few words about awakenings and testing went along with earlier mentions of 'S-ranks' appearing. Another thing logged in Yugi's mind.

In due time, introductions were made as well. Miko offered her friend's name at last: Shinomiya Kaguya. Yugi's attention was pulled away from the System screen to view the girl's face. He knew that name. "Shinomiya?" he questioned. That name arose at the dinner table and in various official meetings numerous times. He'd met... probably her father, and possibly the girl herself. Either way, he was simply introduced as Miko's boyfriend ─ something Kaguya immediately brought into question. Still avoiding use of his name, Yugi did decide to drop a hint that would only matter if his actual 'first impression' with Kaguya had been a good one... several years ago. "Hisashiburi dana... Kozuki. Have you awakened yet?" he asked. No further details were given, even about Miko calling him 'Daddy' or Kaguya's... apparent glaring kink. 'Is it because we've met before? Did I accidentally start some otome route before I even knew about the System? That doesn't make sense.'

The confirmation of a year of time passing, almost sent Miko into a panic-attack. Her parents definitely hadn't been in this house in much, much longer than a couple of days. Kaguya was easily divulging information which made it simple to figure out some key details. 'Something happened to my parents, I'm sure of it. God fucking damnit, you fucking chickenshit Prime Minister!' she thought these things but she kept the conversation as light as Kaguya seemed to be keeping it. "Oi oi, you can hardly call anything I do a kink after I found you outside being a super exhibitionist. On some DDLG stuff, I thought that'd end up being me♥~" she claimed in a joking manner. "We got used to being alone... and I'm easily distracted," Miko confirmed her long standing issues. "And always hungry," Kaguya teased while pulling away from the girl just to point. Though if you say his is tasty I believe you, it's not usually like that, just so you know..." Kaguya claimed but she didn't seem to take too much issue with her friend's activity. While, Miko cleaned her face by rubbing semen from around her mouth and directly into it like she was getting left over food off. A gentle greeting was offered to Kaguya. Kozuki was the name chosen and it sparked recognition after Yugi saying her surname a specific way also made Miko think they'd met before. "Hoh?" Kaguya paused, looking at the lad and holding up her hands to frame his face in a fake mask. "No wonder I thought you looked a bit familiar. The panty watcher. "Also when explaining things like pretend we've been under a rock... details♪!~" Miko demanded.

While Miko and Kaguya kept up their reunion, Yugi lived primarily in his own mind to dissect the newest System alert. Everything about it was so strange. He was being ordered to pursue some form of intimacy with Kaguya, whom he was sure had an existing relationship already. Hell, Yugi had a relationship himself. Could it have been due to their earlier discussion of the Harem Route? Relationship Status was marked as 'desirous' as well; did it mean him, or her? He was in a natural state of desire, but perhaps this girl had latched onto him visually? Yes, there was such an exchange between the girls about a 'glaring' kink. Most bothersome may have been the System mentioning some existing soul resonance, which he interpreted as sexual chemistry after how the System acknowledged Miko and himself. Beyond all his thoughts of what the System demanded, there was the fact that he'd encountered Kaguya before. They may not have been properly acquainted, but there was enough of an impression for recollection. Perhaps that working both ways had something to do with Kaguya calling him... the panty watcher. Miko quickly latched to that title, wondering if he'd stolen Kaguya's panties as well. Before he even cared to open his mouth and answer, Kaguya made clear the fact that panty theft was a more recent development. "It was never about the panties. It was about what they go on. Now wasn't the time for Yugi to worry about that, though. There were clues to be found even in the void of silence; what Kaguya didn't say was no less important than what she did say. As such, Yugi paused to think about those blanks and what they meant. 'Nothing about Chichiue. He's probably still running the show. The Iino parents can't be dead; that would be stupid and damning. It's a bit supervillain, but... he's got them. The way he targeted us specifically when the System showed up says it probably wasn't a move to wipe us out. No, it was... more desperate, like he was losing an opportunity. Were we prone to this before? It doesn't seem like this awakening thing has anything to do with Players; we were selected. Players would probably be called the Chosen or some shit. All that hiding behind masks and being kept close... Maybe I've got a predisposition for some power he wanted? If I've got something like that, she's got it too. Hollow logic? Body-snatching? If there's anything hereditary about these powers, then...' Yugi paused his thoughts, disliking every potential direction the situation was going. Regardless of his accuracy or lack thereof, he was certain about one thing. "We're going to need to discuss something privately. We're also going to need fake ID with new names, and... I can't do too much until I've done something else completely unrelated. That's part of the private discussion, by the way," he said to Miko.

While Yugi was working through things, Miko was also working through things. She'd heard the little swishing of a ring around Kaguya's finger, one that Miko herself hadn't ever seen before. That being said she figured Kaguya didn't yet want to talk about it. Actually, a lot was missing from how Kaguya was talking and what she was choosing to say. By Miko's approximation she was keeping topics light, not pointing out the obvious things. Where her parents were, what was going on with her personal life, how she ended up inhabiting Miko's old house. Aloud though, Yugi was speaking about a historical figure when it came to his apparently new panty snatching behavior. "Benkei the monk? What's he got to do with this?" Kaguya wondered willing to allow her mind to wander just a bit. It'd be Miko to answer as she finished cleaning her face. "Saito Musashibo Benkei, is a warrior monk who took the weapons of his defeated opponents as trophies," Miko chirped. Still, this pair apparently hadn't known each other for too long. They'd bonded so well in such a short amount of time. When asked about the state of his sister, Yugi claimed Kaguya would have a better idea than he did. He gave a somber reaction, "Sou ka, I was right about that then..." Miko murmured working through her own thought processes. "I could check in for you. Those symptoms are kind of bad in modern society but she was like that way too early to have developed the Eternal Slumber too..." Kaguya said in a way that made Miko cut her eyes in the other girl's direction. "Oh right, Eternal Slumber is like mana toxicity. Gates are big circular portals, they open up into alternate dimension dungeons with monsters inside. World-wide phenomenon. Monsters have Essence stones, and the Dungeons have monsters and mana crystals inside. Essence Stones are sold into the world for cash and mana crystals burn as clean energy for a lot of places. Actually Japan's tech leaders made a bunch of progress with them. Medical field hasn't gotten so far yet. Dungeons ranked E-S, monsters inside ranked the same... Hunters gather up in groups and take them on, standard mechanics. Even I get them, it hits like a bad table top game with a dumb DM but... who am I to complain?" Kaguya said giving information in the way Miko usually liked it. Figuring the other lad would be smart enough to follow along.

"Hai, thanks for that..." Miko murmured for the information. Still there was a lot missing. and Yugi claimed they needed a private moment, fake ids and wouldn't be meeting with anyone else for whatever reason. "Hm, well, I know someone who can handle some of that not all of it. Mi-chan are you running the errands part?" Kaguya asked. "Also you're free to your privacy, I haven't changed most of the rooms and I took one of the guest ones for myself," Kaguya explained. "Yeah, probably, also can I borrow your phone..." Miko said. "Your other phone for a bit, I'll call Ai-sen I assume she's been through here already, but we still have to be careful...." Miko asserted. Kaguya pulled a phone from her pocket that was powered off with a battery pack attached and handed it to Miko without thinking about it. All the while her normal phone was sitting on the kitchen counter. "Going to change clothes then..." Miko said leaning her head away and nudging Yugi along headed for her music room, as it was sound proof, and likely unharmed.

Kaguya acknowledged the one named Benkei he spoke of, but didn't see the connection to Yugi's logic. Luckily, the annoying part of explanations was taken care of by Miko, leaving Yugi to explain only the logic. "That's hot," he said first and foremost about Miko having historical context. "Yes, that Benkei. Panties are weapons that conceal other weapons. They also make a great trophy. That successful pair ended up being a game. I won," he explained. Moving on to the topic of Yugi's sister, it seemed Miko had some assumptions earlier ─ assumptions she was right about. She probably realized there was something a bit too practiced about the way he dealt with her clothes, if he had to guess. Kaguya offered to check the situation, comparing the girl's symptoms to something called Eternal Slumber. Surely an explanation of that was on the way based on Miko's quick look, so Yugi settled for a simple response. "Arigatou. I'll owe you," he said earnestly.

Eternal Slumber wasn't given much detail, though the name alone said enough about the end result. He had some assumptions as to the finer details, and would be rambling his thoughts in due time. "Gradual progression to a building state of lethargy, eventually ending in some sort of magical coma? Probably something they couldn't figure out until these Essence Stones were dissected and a scientist that was exposed developed the condition," he chattered. All the talk of monsters, dungeons and hunters made this entire situation around them sound like some weird mashup of game genres ─ one Kaguya had a clear distaste for. From Yugi's perspective, nothing seemed too bad apart from the life-threatening part that removed most fun one could have. "What's dumb about it?"

Moving on to the Players' needs, Kaguya apparently had access to someone who could acquire some false identification for them. "That's good. I had someone in mind, but that would be more difficult to work around. Probably," he said simply. Moments later, Yugi was accompanying Miko to her former music room, where she'd be changing clothes. Along the way, he got his thoughts together, keeping an ear open for anything Kaguya had to add from a distance. When he spoke, he spoke quietly. "Did you get a System alert?"

That's hot. Yugi seemed to find Miko's knowledge of his historical reference worthy of approval. "Sou ka, you really haven't known each other long. You're going to have fun♥~" Kaguya said knowingly. Of course, she realized that if this lad had known how much of a history nerd Miko happened to be, that definitely wouldn't have been the first time he said it. And she knew it was the first time he said it, because... Miko's face held a gentle flush and oddly smug approval. Weapons that concealed other weapons, are what Yugi called panties. "I bet you did, win that game. Which is exactly the reason I refused to play with you~" Kaguya mentioned with a devious little smirk. Though she said it that way, once again Miko could hear it. The tapping of that engagement ring, the gentle twisting. 'Self-soothing, and plausible deniability. Kaya hasn't changed,' Miko decided internally. All the while, Yugi seemed to be interested in the offer Kaguya made to check on his little sister. "Hai hai, tell Ai-nee when you call her..." Kaguya offered to Miko. "Box it," Miko added it to the list of things she would be asking Ai for in time.

Meanwhile, Kaguya's explanations of the current world had both Yugi and Miko's minds actively working. Yugi, murmured his understanding of the Eternal Slumber and Miko also worked through it while making a couple of decisions. "Oh, like the first people to deal with nuclear power... and x-ray machines. They didn't realize the potential dangers to certain kinds of constitutions," Miko offered softly. Both of these individuals were brilliant by Kaguya's own understanding. "Really? With just that... you two are brilliant~" Kaguya complimented the pair seemingly in a good mood. Moving on, Kaguya had called the overarching system surrounding Hunters and their classes dumb, Yugi wondered why, and Kaguya took a breath. "Uh-oh, gonna be a doozy♪~" Miko chirped knowing that look. "It's dumb because the system is set up in such a way that it doesn't allow progression. Once people awaken, they're locked in. You go and get tested cause you feel a little bit strong, and you find out you're E-rank? Good luck being anything but a miner for some low-rank sketchy party. Happen to wake up S-rank? Go off, live a great life with diplomatic immunity because no one can make you do anything... it's stupid. You can't progress, at all the best you can do is expand your body. You don't even get more than your natural skills. Its like joining a D&D campaign and playing an NPC for a session, but the session is a life long commitment and a random role you didn't even ask for. It's fucking dumb and you can't even get better really. The best you can do is learn some human new skills and hope someone takes pity on you or maybe you get a second awakening, but those are so rare no one even understands them. Dumb system, dumb DM... dumb life!" Kaguya ranted. That lass rarely ranted and as such Miko could only smile.

"I'm calm... I'm cool. Don't worry, I'll fill in any details later..." Kaguya said, rolling her eyes. In that moment it became obvious why she'd not gone in for testing immediately. Kaguya got shafted at a lot of points in life, she didn't need confirmation of failure in another way. As they went off to Miko's Music Room Kaguya walked towards the living room to begin pacing, still rubbing that ring. As Yugi and Miko found privacy Miko unequipped her dress and handed the lad in front of her panties, fresh thigh highs and the like, in purple and black lace. She sat down on the bench of her piano and began the discussion. "Iia, I haven't seen anything since the HP loss," Miko confirmed. "Did you get one? You seemed a bit distracted, and we do get personal quests sometimes~" Miko asked knowing they needed to discuss things pretty quickly.

"It's been... technically a year," was all Yugi said about the length of their relationship. He didn't think hiding anything from Kaguya would work long-term however; she was quite the perceptive individual for what Yugi would call normal. She showed such a trait by giving the reason she'd rejected his game challenge, back when they met. "You should've played. You could have been the first trophy," he said, knowing Kaguya had a much better pair to collect when they interacted. A bit of would-be innocuous movement drew Yugi's eye to the girl's hand, which contained a ring she was repeatedly fiddling with. He paid no heed to that, but it did confirm the status of her relationship.

As for the Eternal Slumber issue, it was relatively easy to figure out. Both Yugi and Miko seemed to have the right idea, much to Kaguya's surprise. "It's basic stuff. Scientists are just smart enough to be dumb," he claimed. Lo and behold, Yugi wouldn't be the only one calling something dumb. Kaguya would soon be loosing a rant the likes of which he'd only expect from... himself. Yugi listened intently, both because he needed the information she had, and because she was showing herself as a kindred spirit. He certainly agreed with her opinion now that he knew the awakened people had no way to advance themselves. That was such an unnecessary restriction, it surely couldn't have been implemented by an individual with any sense. Yugi thought to agree aloud, but instead... "That's hot," passed his lips once more. "Not the way stuff works here. You're right about that; it's fucking dumb. What's the point of people gaining superpowers if they can't grow any of them? If I'm going to earn a skill, I want to be able to... level it." He hesitated right at the end, if only because several things were settling. The System and these awakenings were not similar at all. That would have to be discussed later.

Upon separating themselves from Kaguya, Yugi posed a single question. He was also offered Miko's undergarments ─ ones she clearly intended to have him place upon her now that she was nude. Before addressing those, he decided to address the way she unequipped her dress. "That was the perfect opportunity. Shame," the lad stated. Regardless, they did have something important to do and discuss, starting with Yugi revealing his most recent System notice. "I didn't think so. This. Your friend is engaged, but the System isn't giving me an option here. I'm gonna have to be an NTR antagonist today ─ not that I personally care. It's your friend though, so I thought I'd tell you. Anyway... this is also the reason I'm not going just yet. I don't trust the bit about this route interfering with other quests and overriding romance options. I'm even wondering if growing the Intimacy rating will affect how it scales in other relationships, like ours for example. Hence this conversation," he explained while holding out that pair of lace panties, ready to slip them up Miko's legs.

Technically a year, was what Yugi had to say, Kaguya couldn't help but smirk... "You can learn a lot or a little about a person in that amount of time~" she mentioned as if it meant absolutely nothing. But once again, Miko could hear it, the tonal shift, the weighted decision in her friend's voice. In Miko's eyes, Kaguya was working through her own understanding, her current life versus picking up where they left off... Miko didn't blame the other lass for not being able to make a complete decision immediately. She'd probably been trying to learn to mediate her 'impulsive' nature. "Iia, I'm in no position to play games against you~" Kaguya mentioned. She wasn't the type to take a challenge she couldn't win or go up against someone already sure of an outcome that wasn't her nature at all.

Soon after this, Kaguya was calling the pair brilliant for managing to figure out a bit about the nature of the 'Eternal Slumber' which she understood only because it was explained to her. "Iia, that's still more than I'd expect you to get basically walking in blind," Kaguya said. Still there was her rant which would end and the lad would claim it was hot. Well, it was obvious he didn't mean the system the world was functioning under. "Damn right she is♪~" Miko confirmed that speech was for Kaguya in a manner which implied her oddity still remained about the girl. Kaguya heard out what both individuals had to say, "Right? If I as a DM will let Mi-chan roll for crit every time she wants to seduce something... it's the least the world can do to let us grow the way we want!" Kaguya complained and Miko smiled. She knew that pair could get along and she could see it progressing easily regardless of anything else. Two of her favorite people enjoyng each other was among one of the best feelings she'd ever had about anything.

Soon enough the small girl was in her piano room, handing Yugi a pair of her panties and stepping into them, ready to let him slip them up her body. After she disrobed, he claimed there was a missed opportunity. Kaya-sen was told ages ago by me, that if I ever actually found something awesome I'd share it with her. And you're my best thing ever and I fully intend to keep my promise on that front. And now you know that too♪~" Miko explained of herself and the situation surrounding them. "I don't think I can pull off the NTR antagonist, the worst I tend to be is a tsundere villainess. So I don't see it as a problem. I actually meant to talk to you about it before but... it got lost in the clusterfuck of our training arc..." Miko expressed. Kaguya claimed she was in no position to play games against him. Yugi regrettably had the perfect line of response for her, but it was not the right time. He'd have to hold that one for later. First, he'd walk off with Miko to establish a proper plan. Sadly, that plan didn't involve the usual divergence of deviance, as Miko saw no point in stripping... At least not without a plan to bend her over her piano. "So there's every point? Because if it's not obvious by now, I'm gonna end up bending you over any and everything you can be bent over. You know, I'm starting to think I might have a new favorite game~" he joked. Finally, Yugi rose. Everything meant to go under whatever outfit Miko had was now in place, so he could move on to finalize their discussion. "So we're good? Because while you're out, I'm on an otome route... and I don't believe in losing games of any genre."

Miko said what she had to say concerning her stripping and Yugi in turn complained there was every point. "Kaya-sen respects honesty, given how you are I doubt she would have been too upset, especially if you explained yourself at all," Miko concluded about the girl and their earlier interaction. All without the detail that the man looked particularly bitchy while explaining things to people. "And yes, you're right about that... she's gonna be awesome, I'm sure♪~" Miko confirmed happily. She believed in Kaguya and her abilities and prowess even if she'd not witnessed them personally just yet. As for the NTR villain route, Miko could see it playing out for Yugi with Kaguya. She had her own opinions given the girl's anxiety. As for Miko according to Yugi she could pull off being an upgrade to a boring woman as her archetype of NTR villain. "I feel like the kind of guys I'd like would only rarely get trapped in that sort of thing. Still, assuming balance of the system between us, I can expect a route or two to open for me. I'll let you know if that happens♪~" Miko chirped. As for the teasing bit about wanting to meet the villainess version of Miko, she smirked just a little, "I'm sure you'll meet eventually, especially with you running around giving my dick away♪~" Miko flirted just the same. Surely she was some sort of degenerate, knowing full well that she'd punish them for having too much fun without her, or for thinking they could leave her out at all.

A dark lowneck shirt and purple hoodie. She'd stand as well her shoes on the floor.
