If it came with a place to live, the ability to continue Hunter work, and access to organized teams that would let him participate in raids as the summoner he was, it would be hard to turn down. "Tempting. You mean I get to keep working, but better? Couldn't say no to that."

The topic of a motivational ritual was interestingly worthy of note for Miko. "I'm gonna need that agreement in writing. On my dick," he said as if that made an ounce of sense. Well, Yugi believed Miko would fully understand his meaning. When they assaulted the first wave of knights, death didn't greet the army as quickly as either would like. Miko suggested targeting weak points and applying concussive damage, but Yugi wasn't so sure they'd need it. "Hmm, maybe not," he said. The knights weren't surviving the electrocution per se; they were just taking a little longer to kill than he'd like. "No, they're falling. Not a fan of it taking so much, but it's working. Got a cheap way to make it quicker? If not, I think we should sacrifice time for conservation."

Gojo Satoru was the kind of man who always tried to annoy someone. At this point she wished the other two were still around because she assumed if they were he'd have something better to do with his time. "That no... that isn't what happened at all," she said with an eye roll. She wouldn't call it a fucking, she didn't even get it all inside and she knew by virtue of seeing something else that it was possible. She'd call it a practice run at something she definitely didn't have enough practice for. An opinion was being shared between Makima and Aki about the nature of those cigarettes. "You're right, I'll have to get some from them when they return, if nothing else it'll be relaxing again," Makima mentioned as if she was only lightly amused. Still, she put up that job offer and the young man before her, "That is the point. It also comes with free guaranteed housing, there are a few free apartments within the building and as long as you complete your necessary tasks it's free living," Makima mentioned. If Aki was put to work that would do and give Makima another reasonable person to call upon.

At the same time, the Players were starting another kind of agreement. Miko liked the idea of being part of Yugi's motivational ritual, and he claimed he needed it in writing, "Yeah sure but that sounds like a three hole kind of signature set♪~" Miko flirted absently. As for their first attack it seemed to be doing quite a bit of damage but not taking out the crowd as quickly. As for Yugi's question Miko had a light idea. "Well, the concussive wave from my sword doesn't have a huge mana cost, and I can double activate it if I'm just humming," Miko asserted. "Though I still need to find some proper spells for just me to use... I didn't find any in the shop when I last checked. I have to assume they'll be super expensive," Miko thought as she pulled that crystal sword out and lightly hummed. Attuned with her voice a quick slash would release concussive force down the hallway in a horizontal wave which would knock into those armored bodies and cause extra vibrations.

"Hmm, true. It was pretty boring, honestly. You'll get it next time!" Satoru said, offering Maki a thumbs-up paired with his usual careless smile. As for Aki, the position he was now being offered didn't sound like it had much by way of negatives. Sure, Shido Makima was a thing to be frightened of in any realm of society... but he technically already worked for her anyway. Besides, he wasn't in a position to turn down complementary housing. "Sou desu ka. Well I'm not in a position to sleep on it. I'll take the position," he decided with only a few moments of thought. The rise of Hayashi finally occurred, paired with an offered phrase for Aki. "Omedetou, Hayakawa-san," he said. Only after nodding to the younger male did Aki remember he was part of normal society nowadays. "Oh... arigatou. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu," he said to Makima, bowing with all the 'elegance' of someone who didn't log their first kill of a human after the Gates started opening.

A three-hole signature sounded far better than Yugi's original idea. He caught himself after hearing Miko's rebuttal, and thought to add even more to the idea. "Fuck it, we'll write up a whole contract! No less than twenty pages. 'Sign here, here and here,' front and back... that kind of shit!" he decided. By the time they were witnessing the slow fall of knights, the time had come to further discuss tactics. Miko still had concussive damage to bring. She could currently get two activations for the low price of one by using those crafted sword catalysts. Alas, offensive spells were quite scarce in her kit. "Oh shit, we didn't sort through all that loot from two Dungeons. Even I just grabbed the first few things that seemed cool from the high-ranking shit. If we get an open window, we should use some of our time for..." Yugi paused there. Something was wrong ─ very wrong. He checked the System, but one thing they should have seen was currently nonexistent. "... Uh... where's the fucking survival timer?"

What Maki received from Gojo after a personal bit of confirmation about the nature of her session with Yugi, wasn't exactly teasing. It was an honest opinion of what her session looked like from the outside and... encouragement. Maki didn't like Gojo Satoru, she found him annoying in a way she couldn't explain but... somehow that statement from him, didn't feel like it came with his normal amount of animosity. "Huh, that's weird. You're weird," that was Maki's conclusion as she moved on from that logically. Meanwhile, Makima was obtaining a new personal assistant. "Good, I'll have the paperwork drawn up, and do you have a preference for the side of the building your apartment is on?" Makima was many things, but she wasn't at all unkind to those who worked directly to her. Hayashi gave congratulations and Maki gave a playful salute. Better working with them than against them, no matter. Hayashi was another point of interest though Makima gathered he was quite small as a presence he could still have his uses. "And you... you look quite young, have you graduated high school yet?" Makima wondered earnestly.

At the same time, the players were clearing out early enemies and still strategizing. Even so, they were having a bit of fun, about writing and signing contracts. "Oh? That's going to be a long process. I'll make sure I have all the pages printed up♪~" Miko said lightly joking. She didn't even mind the idea of being covered in quite a bit, not that it mattered. Beyond a light use of concussive energy, Miko didn't have a lot to show for her offensive abilities. Yugi brought up something she'd not thought of, "Damn, we really didn't. It kind of happened really close together," Miko mentioned. "Done deal..." Miko agreed. Actually, if they cleared this hallway they could use it as a point to hold. Ah, but nothing could ever go as smoothly as this pair would like, and Yugi was soon griping once more. Where was the survival clock? It wasn't ticking, "Oh, that's weird, I also don't have it... it isn't ticking visually nor giving a countdown. Does that mean we aren't currently in that part of the quest? Is this one of the stupid ones where we have to fight the boss first?" Miko wondered immediately. That would definitely put a damper on things.

It couldn't be any clearer that Maki had some issues with Satoru. He never cared for the opinions of 'brokeys' as he called them, but Maki may have been turning into what he'd started calling a... paper-chaser. Being called weird though, Satoru leaned back, feigning massive amounts of shock. "Oh no! Zen'in my darling, how could you betray me so?! I thought what we had was special!" he shouted in the most exaggerated way. Meanwhile, Aki was gaining a legitimate job and some housing he could trust wouldn't be ruined by Dungeon Breaks within a month. He relaxed so much, that first cigarette was being smoked all the way down to its filter. He was already reaching for another when Makima asked about his preferred lodging. Aki would answer only once the first drag was taken ─ during its exhale specifically. "I'm not picky. All I want now is a place I can keep for more than a month. Fuckin' spiders," he griped. As for Hayashi, Makima was right. He was quite the young Hunter, having very little field time despite awakening only a couple of months after the Gates appeared. There was a reason for that. "H-hai! Hayashi Yuto, 18, B-rank!" he said nervously, bowing far deeper than one might consider necessary. "Eto... I graduated high school last term. I've been signing-up for... mostly D-rank Dungeons since graduation. There isn't much I can do," he admitted.

Even at the start of an important quest in a System-generated Dungeon, the Players would remain... a pair of perverted teens who considered and discussed sex acts before, during and after combat and survival. Once they reached a consensus however, more immediately important things were openly discussed. Yugi remained at the ready, occasionally pulling his electrified sword back to stab between armor segments of a knight who pushed through the group. Something was strange about that too; it didn't feel right. "Tch! So... I don't think there are bodies inside this armor," he said. As if that wasn't concerning enough, neither of them could find the countdown for this quest. Annoyed by that turn of events, Yugi pulled his sword back and punched the next knight in its helmet. Black Flash activated in that moment, and seemed to course through the full set of armor, causing it to fall into pieces. "Fucking stupid System! And what in the Fullmetal is this shit?! I swear to fuck if I see anything resembling a boss door at the end of this hall, I'm skull-fucking the next thing I see!"

Gojo Satoru was an odd man. Maki was almost certain he was treating her a bit differently than before. Those words didn't carry quite as much sting and the jests weren't quite so one-sided. Was he one of the weird men who required extra proof? She couldn't hate someone for having standards she supposed, she still found him annoying though... "Definitely don't have anything special. Especially not when I already told you what my name was..." she said while rolling her eyes, she knew some were odd but he was one who'd push any button that was obviously a button. Meanwhile, Makima was finding that Aki didn't have a lot of specifications for himself. He simply wanted a spot which would last longer than a month. "That is do able. I'll choose the other things then... and arrange a house-warming present," Makima decided. Beyond that she got a full introduction from someone who'd only graduated high school in the last term. He claimed to not be very good at anything and even as a B-rank Mage he was only going into D-rank Dungeons. "Do you like helping those smaller than you? I don't mind continuing to arrange those kinds of things..." Makima mentioned. That boy wasn't the type that could work for her, he was wound far too tight but, Makima could understand his value to someone who presented as softly as the female Player did. He looked to be a comfort pet. Something that needed care and help to properly flourish.

Beyond the new daily life being established for this team, so that Makima could keep a close eye on the group, the Players were flirting and being deviants while also planning their real battle ahead. Perhaps one day, they'd get through something without it devolving into a conversation about their sex life? New observations were being made. There weren't bodies inside of the armor that they were currently fighting against. "It is called the 'Trial of Shadows', non-corporeal bodies might be standard," Miko made a few connections based on verbiage. And by the time Yugi was punching one of the creatures with a Black Flash, Miko was sure of her own hypothesis. "I'm going to need you to define skull-fucking if you're going to be upset about the likeliest scenario..." Miko decided to assert while hitting another few with low cost concussive blasts that would finish breaking apart the armor. "But if there aren't bodies in these armors, are they just gear? If so, this hallway is looking like that window we were talking about a minute ago," she wondered it was leaning more and more towards scary boss room ahead feeling when the 'soldiers' were just falling apart.

When told there was nothing special between them, Satoru acted as if he'd been shot through the heart, grasping at the location and all. "Huagh!" he groaned as well. He'd continue addressing the girl by her surname for reasons all his own, but that was of little importance presently. For Aki, he was told of a future housewarming present arranged by the chairwoman herself. He took the second drag of that second cigarette, seeming a little curious. "Is it hookers?" he wondered. Hayashi had no such desires. Of the group who cleared that Dungeon Break, he was the member least likely to fit in overall. He was simply asked about an enjoyment of helping weaker individuals. He couldn't say that was specifically the case, but it did fall under the umbrella. "I like helping anyone I can. They don't have to be... 'smaller' than me or anything. I'm fine just being useful," he specified.

Yugi was really starting to dislike the features of their current quest. Knights with no physical bodies beneath their armor had massive potential as a bad sign, though a glance near the fallen ones did confirm a fair amount of armor-type loot yet to be properly viewed. "I didn't want to make the assumption after 'Shadow Concubine' and all the other edge-lord nouns so far," he stated, flinging that sword again. They were making their way forward bit by bit, though not without Miko commenting on the term 'skull-fucking' from Yugi's tangent. Reaching a boss door was the likeliest scenario, she claimed. "Listen! If somebody has the brain to put together the System, they should have enough of a brain to subvert fucking expectations! I'm running no hope, all cope!" he asserted, Sharingan detecting the end of that large mana cloud. "Do you have a range limit on those swords? I can see where the mana sources stop. Since this is just a big ass hall, you could pull off making a sort of echo chamber."

In this moment, Maki and Gojo came to an agreement. One which wasn't necessarily quiet, but it didn't need more speech. She knew she didn't actually hurt his feelings, she doubted there was anything in the world that actually would. "Hmphf~" Maki managed to hold in her laughter, but mostly she just turned away from the man to continue to be part of the general group dynamic. At the same time, Aki's living quarters were being determined and thoughts of a housewarming present were being put together... he asked if such a thing was... hookers. "Iia, I didn't plan to give a present like that. Though I'm sure you'll enjoy it regardless," Makima asserted. Obviously her general plan was simply to send Miko to him, given they were already on track and progressing Player bonds was something she wanted, mostly to observe growth. Moving on from Aki, the boy with the loftiest kindness claimed he liked helping people in general, not just those smaller than him. "Okay then, I'll just make sure you're a pickup where you'll be most useful then," Makima concluded. No matter, she could easily keep him busy and maybe leave a few openings for the Players to continue expanding his abilities. With paperwork and politics to follow Makima could easily busy herself getting this trio paid and settled into their new life goals.

Meanwhile, Yugi wasn't the only one starting to dislike the way this particular Dungeon was shaping up. If nothing else, it being slightly predictable would lead to easier formation of plans and tactics. "Yeah I get that, but upon starting to hear these words spoken, I don't think they are edgy just for the sake of it," Miko gave her own opinion as the one hearing the voice of the System more often than not. If she had to say something, she'd say some of those odd words were often spoken with a unique amount of reverence and and almost fanatical love. But she knew quite a bit about that sort of thing given her own feelings. Beyond that point apparently Yugi was running on cope about the nature of their approaching challenge. "Hai hai, I suppose this is the sort of situation where a surprise could potentially be nice," Miko said carefully. As for the newest tactic, Miko tossed those two crystal swords in her hands and shook her head. "Iia, they don't have a working range per se. They will require more time for sound to travel if they are far apart, but it isn't really a problem when Mana is involved," Miko asserted. He wanted to create an echo chamber out of this space, and she could see it working. "Sugoi, I could do that pretty easily without it costing too much. Where do I need to aim it?" she asked ready to toss those crystal swords where they needed to be to make the best use of the closed in space.

Makima's housewarming present for Aki was, apparently, not hookers. He'd enjoy it either way, she asserted. Well, Aki couldn't really complain about anything at this point. He no longer had to worry about his own home situation, and his initial payment on the property was more than covered by the events of today. This new position was likely to pay better than the freelance work he'd been doing anyway. "Hai," he said simply. With that, Aki supposed he'd be waiting around for orders, whenever they came. Makima moved on to addressing Hayashi Yuto, ensuring he'd be selected when he could be useful in the future. As per usual, he began freaking out immediately. "Eh? Iia, iia! You don't have to go out of your way to factor me in like that. I'm sure you're too busy to worry about random Hunters like me," he insisted. The chairwoman of Japan's Hunters Association wasting her time with someone who only made B-rank by a stroke of weird luck was such an uncomfortable idea to the lad.

Miko didn't think the System used edgy words for the sake of being edgy. Yugi grumbled, not sure whether he should hate or love all those terms, given the information they now had on hand. "And I think edgy might be better. Maybe. Not totally sure," he rambled. Yugi would continue hoping for a surprise, but alas... hope could only dwindle as the number of knights ahead did the same. He figured their best bet now would be to finish clearing the hall, which Miko would be quite valuable for. It seemed she would be able to reach the end of the soldier group without any limitations imposed by the System. "Nice! Game mechanics out the window, science in full effect!" he said happily as Miko readied herself to launch the swords. As part of the setup, Yugi hopped back to land behind the lass, hands on her shoulders and head leaning in to her left. "If you can throw one at least uhh... thirty meters? That seems about right. Do that, scream like you're being anal raped by a whole dragon, then lodge the other sword in front of the knights before it bounces back this way." With that said, Yugi prepared himself for the moment Miko threw the first catalyst. Whenever she did that and readied her inhale, he'd be ready to... kindly slap her on the ass with maximum force.

Aki agreed to his enjoyment of a thing, and Makima continued to smoke what was absolutely the best cigarette of her life. Makima watched as the young lad Yuto seemed to freak out immediately upon being told she'd send him where he'd be most needed. "I'm the Chariwoman of the Japanese Hunters Association. Looking after Japanese Hunters is my job, little one. No need to fret," Makima said that like it was meant to be comforting but most who understood her would see the hint of calculation behind those gentler words. It would oddly enough be Maki, to walk up to the lad and give him a firm pat on the back. "Just accept it. Life is weird right now... you just became a reverse isekai deuteragonist," Maki asserted, in her usual way. Makima wasn't even giving him a job or anything specifically binding, simply making sure he got into Dungeons he could be useful in and thus was looked after in the place of those missing protagonists, or at least, that was how Maki saw it. "I didn't know your type came with sincere diplomacy," Makima said smiling absently. At least all of this could be taken care of as it was now.

Meanwhile, Yugi and Miko were busying thinking about the nature of those not really edgy statements. "Yeah, there's a lot of missing information. I jumped to a wild conclusion and now I'm happy I can multiply at relatively low cost♪~" Miko said of her own bad imagination. Oh well, whether it was truly edgy or not didn't really matter as they had quite a bit to do. Yugi had switched from a magical brain to a science brain so the pair of them could move to dispatching the rest of the creatures in this hallway. He ended up behind her, with his head leaning to her left and his hands on her shoulders. She relaxed into him seemingly ready with both swords in her hands. His explanation was colorful but she understood his meaning. "Sou ka, I know how long it'd take sound to travel that distance. I can time that..." Miko said seemingly a bit more confident in herself of late. With her shoulders relaxed she looked towards her target and held one of her swords with a thread attached. She fully intended to throw it, the full distance, and released it at the top of the arch to spiral and lodge itself into the ground behind a soldier. She then took a deep breath while switching the hand of her other sword to prepared to throw it as well, but as she inhaled a hand landed against her bottom at maximum force. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A♫~" escaped her lips as a sound before she threw the second sword right in front of the group a ways off. Her ass was stinging but it was quite good as she immediately bent at her waist and aimed to soothe it directly against Yugi's lap. The chaos that would follow would include that sword in front receiving that sound back and bouncing it within the finite confines of those walls and swords. A single screech, repeating, bouncing rattling armor and reverberating in a small space, clashing into a cacophony aimed to disrupt and dismantle what was left of the knightly guardians of this hallway, with the least extra power loss possible.

It seemed Makima wouldn't be leaving Yuto to his own devices. She insisted upon it being her job to help him, which he supposed was far too logical to really argue against. Still, Yuto thought himself too much of a nobody for that. He didn't perceive the calculating nature of Makima either. "But─" he started, only to hesitate upon feeling Maki's hand against his back. She urged him to accept the offer, calling him a reverse-isekai deuteragonist just as she'd been called before. "I'm a what?!" he questioned instinctively. Whatever the case, Yuto barely had an argument left. His best bet was to stop wasting even more of the chairwoman's time with extra naysaying, he supposed. "... Alright. Arigatou gozaimasu," he concluded, bowing to the redhead.

All the while, the Players were setting up to clear the introductory phase of their job-change quest. Miko would be the one carrying the weight for this leg of the journey. Yugi watched her first sword fly over the knight army's heads, and he watched as her chest rose with an inhale. The ensuing screech was to be treated like a firing cannon or a gun, with Yugi acting as the hammer. It seemed Miko's ass stung enough that she sought soothing. He was more than fine with his lap being a catalyst as such ─ especially when the reverberations shook every knight in the hall, causing a fast-paced beat of metal on metal, and metal hitting the floor as armor suits fell in pieces. "Wooh, Siren Song! Get schwifty, ya' fucking clankers!" he taunted while rubbing his lap against Miko's rear, not for the clear purpose of helping her soothing procedure... but simply because he was a horny teen. "Let's fuckin' gooo! Every fight's got its own music backdrop now!"

Makima might have though Maki's diplomacy was oddly placed, but she was the one often left in charge of underclassmen. Her ability to keep people on the straight and narrow (outside of her own family) wasn't a new thing. No matter, after hearing those words and thinking about it just a bit the thought of Yuto escaped him, "You're a wizard with enigmatic friends~" Maki clarified. He really was quite soft as an individual. No matter, his agreement came to Makma as she blew out a bit of smoke into the air, with its unique taste and oddly rejuvenating sensation spreading in her chest. "Good boy." Meanwhile, the Players were busy setting up quite the entrance to their major challenge. All parts seemed to go off without a hitch, and by the time, the clanging and extra background noise could be heard, Miko was grinding her bottom against Yugi's lap to the beat of the music she could now hear. Both of them were a bit prone to using memes and the like and it seemed he'd chosen to call this one 'Siren's Song'. Miko moved her hips in circles against him to that fast paced beat as he antagonized the armored pieces which were faling apart by the moment. "Woooh♪!~ This one's a good one♪!~" Miko chirped appreciating the sounds she was hearing outwardly and the words falling from Yugi's mouth. He claimed every fight had its own music now and she could only agree, "Hai, in all honesty I didn't expect fighting to be so much like composing is for me, but it's so worth it♪!~" she claimed, at the end randomly dropping her hips down the full length of his thighs and cock only to bounce her ass a couple of times right in front of him after the contact ended. Until those strange E-ranks reappeared though, he was content to split the pack.

Speaking of splitting, those very same 'E-rank' Hunters were splitting armor segments from each other. Whatever held them together initially had already been weakened to some extent by that electrical onslaught. Now, it was all too easy to literally rattle them apart with the reverberating voice of Miko. They were even continuing their childish mannerisms by literally dancing as the corpses of their enemies fell. Well, dancing may not have been the proper word. They were grinding, dry-humping even, with Miko deciding on one particular movement that had her ass rubbing the full length of his cock and bouncing at the tip. A quiet agreement to share without an outright need to speak. Yes, this one would do quite nicely, beyond that he seemed far less squeamish than Kaito which would make him infinitely more useful, especially if he managed one of those power-ups from her newest pets. Her life was currently going quite well...

Speaking of things going quite well, the end of Player's most recent actions seemed to be some of the best moments they could have. Playfully dancing, acting childishly and just enjoying each other's company. That dancing became grinding with nothing more than a casual thought and an extra movement. And after said movement words from Yugi, had Miko looking at him strangely. She wasn't to do a move like that unless she was trying to get a new round started? Well, with everything getting taken care of in the immediate area, and the looming threat in the next one...what was wrong with getting something started? With the evolution of a dance came the presence of a great danger.
