<Nocturnal Harmonia>

Miyuki was content to land himself in the proverbial doghouse, apparently. The oversight that costed them knowledge of Miko's hated food would cost him dearly, Yugi decided. Obviously he wasn't curious enough to remember it. The bastard probably got too caught-up in the deviant thoughts he was trying to run away from... or rather, hide with. Worse still, even Miko claimed his question was the wrong one. "Gomen!" he said again, and again slammed his head to the table. When Miyuki rose, his face was far more flushed than it was previously. "Hmrph... moved my head to quickly," he slurred. Miyuki was relatively fine, but the alcohol was starting to hit him properly after so many shots and that one reckless maneuver.

In spite of it all, there was a silver lining. The question Miyuki presented wasn't just shut down by a taken shot; it was actually answered truthfully. Yugi knew that wasn't the whole truth, but Miyuki had no reason to suspect anything. Miko was in danger ─ danger that persisted to this day. She had an alias in place that she urged him to call her by. Suddenly, his introduction to the black-haired lad made a bit more sense. "Sou ka. That does make sense. Then, is that the same reason Leeroy was given? Is that your alias?" he asked. Despite his anger at the time, Yugi burst into laughter that could barely be contained. "No. I'm not in any danger. Kiriya Haruto is my real name," Yugi lied flawlessly. Miyuki was considering the ramifications of Miko sharing that information with him. He saw no issues with accepting her request, but before he could confirm... Yugi spoke. "Turn pass."

Miko's hated food, wasn't even that big a deal... aside from knowing what not to get her, it seemed almost comical that anyone was so concerned about it. The doghouse version of Miyuki rose with an overly flushed face after bowing a bit too quickly for his own comfort. Several drinks in and they'd already cleared a large portion of that bottle. And the people who'd taken the fewest drinks were Yugi and Kaguya. "You always do that... you'll give yourself the spins if you move too quickly♥~" Kaguya reminded Miyuki as a dutiful fiancée would. Well at four deep she was also simply trying to make sure he wouldn't be useless and thus wouldn't be the reason she took one final step in the wrong direction before confirming that this wasn't just a bit of spice gone too far.

Meanwhile, Miko was busy with an explanation. Similar to the one she'd given Kaguya while they were alone in the kitchen, vague but covering important information. Calling her by her alias was important, and beyond that was Miyuki's understanding even while intoxicated. He brought up the odd introduction offered by Yugi initially and only a laugh happened because of it. Miko understood how funny Leeroy Jenkins was... and even and upset Yugi seemed to find it more hilarious than normal. She also noted how flawlessly the lie of Kiriya Haruto being his real named slipped out of his mouth. Such confidence was used. A turn was passed soon after that confirmation. "Oya, my turn again already... hmm, are we all back on dares then? Kiriya-kun?" she asked of him. A bit of targetig wouldn't seem odd. Kaguya could play the long game in this case, but just the same curiosity lingered in Miko's eyes. How many more dares could Kaguya possibly have to give someone else?

Miyuki knew he had a bad habit of advancing his own drunkenness. In the heat of the moment, he couldn't stop himself. Maybe one day he'd catch himself before making sudden movements like that... but clearly, today would not be that day. "It's fine, hon. It's a celebration... we're fine~" he assured. If nothing else, Miyuki was certainly in a situation to make good on his earlier planned celebration, even though his mind had been wandering quite a bit recently. Oh well; there was one certain way to get that nonsense out of his system once the game ended.

Ah, but the game was still on. It had become Kaguya's turn again, and she'd be putting Yugi in her sights. Naturally, he fully welcomed being her target for almost any purpose. His eyes shifted, that he might look at Kaguya directly without turning his head. That last dare of hers was interesting, so he wondered what would come of the next. As always, dare would be the only thing Yugi chose anyway. "I never stopped. What are you pulling out of your ass this time?" he asked, genuinely curious what was in store for him.

It was a celebration Miyuki claimed... so he was mostly fine. Miko watched the young man seemingly work himself through all the regular thoughts. Though he managed to make himself a bit drunk it seemed that Kaguya maintained his base focus when she interjected in anyway. 'Perhaps that contributes... he's volitile because he can't be completely taken. Not that it's something I want but that'd be kind of annoying if I can't trust him enough to tell him everything...' Miko thought casually. "If you say so... I'm not worried~" Kaguya asserted and true enough she knew him to be quite resilient so it wasn't really a problem.

Still there was a matter of her turn and the dare Yugi was taking. It was odd coming up with dares for someone so intellectually taxing. That being said it was also amusing to see the lad in his element. He liked games and all of that but how would he do with one of those weird loops thrown his way, "Your dare, should you choose to accept it, is to create and perform a haiku about your favorite girl body part... be as creative as you like♥~" Kaguya asserted. Miko turned to the girl, shaking her head knowingly. That was a hilarious choice especially if one had no idea the kind of things that would pop out of Yugi's mouth at any given time. A fashion show, body shots, a poem... Kaguya's list of dares was varied and honestly a bit chaotic.

As interested as Yugi was in the coming dare, he was fated to experience surprise when Kaguya delivered. She'd once again chosen something that wasn't innately sexual, but could eventually be utilized for sexual purposes. A haiku, he was to compose and perform. She didn't demand just any old haiku; she specifically wanted one about his favorite female body part. A haiku... about his... "Favorite?" Yugi could only question the choice of words. To say he had an absolute favorite would be a dishonor to his growing list of favorites. "That's dumb. Why would I have a favorite?" he added.

Of course, being without a favorite wouldn't stop him from completing the dare. Perhaps he'd even flip the script a bit and construct something about Kaguya's best parts as he saw things. Even better, he could probably just generalize something... but a performance would come with some extras. "All eyes closed," he urged the group, specifically Kaguya and Miyuki ─ the latter of whom did as asked with only a shrug. Yugi would take a moment to view the System shop and purchase another 'junk' item for immediate use. The sign of eyes being openable again would be clear... as that sign was the sound of a shamisen string being plucked. 'Where did that come from?' wondered Miyuki, who opened his eyes to see Yugi playing an antique instrument.

"Breasts, lips, thighs, and hips♪
Each steals my breath all at once♪
How could I choose one?♫"

A performance could never be so simple. Yugi threw away a small sum of gold in the System, just to be capable of letting his fingers slide, pause and strike the strings for a musical backdrop.

Kaguya was always surprised when she gave dares and received in return odd retorts. Yugi apparently took issue with having to choose a single favorite body part. The next words out of his mouth made Kaguya chuckle knowingly. "Ehehe♥~ Every time you open your mouth, I realize more and more why you and Mi-chan get along~" she expressed. "I find myself once again explaining that favorite usually applies to a single thing. Most people will choose just one~" Kaguya said knowing that an entire argument could be started based on the difference between facts and opinions. "Bleh♪~" Miko was willing and knowing that Yugi could fight his own battles, she wouldn't be interfering with him very much at all if he wanted to tirade of his own accord mostly because she wanted to hear it.

Soon enough Yugi was demanding closed eyes, which Kaguya went along with and so strangely enough did Miko. She was always one to enjoy a good performance and was a great sport, even when she realized he was probably just poking about in the shop. The surprise of this moment was worth listening to. And a simple strum made her have to surpress a squeal. "Squee♪~" she managed to hold herself off, if only to make sure she actually got to hear everything. It was a well constructed haiku with a great instrumental. She watched the movements of his fingers during it, and so did Kaguya. And both had similar ideas. Kaguya's face was ever so gently flushed as her mind wandered back to the moments where two fingers had been so gently stirring her up while she was used as a shot glass. As he finished up Kaguya had to comment, after all it was quite the performance. "Ara♥~ Full in for the flair too, love to see it♥~" she claimed casually as she would anything. Meanwhile, Miko had wide eyes and a palpitating heart. "Aaaah♪~ That sounded so fucking good♪~ Gimme♪~" she held out her hands for the instrument, she was quite fond of it, though a concert pianist by her own nature, she did dabble from time to time for a few specific reasons. Still the turn hadn't passed, if only because Kaguya was still aware of all the rules and statuses currently in place, and in this case, Miyuki had to decide if he was also performing, or if he was taking a shot, or if he was going to force Miko to take two for him? And there was also the fact that he needed to do so without his hands as he hadn't already opted out.

An argument was in the works. Kaguya revealed herself to be one who believed in 'singular' favorites, which was a concept Yugi could not get behind. He knew Miko understood the logic of not restricting one's own preferences. Apparently, Kaguya required... educating. "Most people will choose just one. Most people are also boring, dumb and will never progress their lives and abilities beyond what's considered comfortable. That sort of close-mindedness is how midlife crises and mental atrophy happens. It might also be why people become vegetables. Not sure on that one," he explained simply.

With that, there was a performance to put on. Short as it was, Yugi thought it was worthwhile to add a soundtrack to his haiku. By the time he started, Miyuki was clearly confused. Where did the instrument come from? His drunken mind couldn't rest on the question for too long, thinking maybe he'd just missed something amid all the hullabaloo. Besides... he was also taking the time to think of something. Meanwhile, Miko expressed the excitement of a musician to such an extent that she basically demanded he forfeit the instrument to her. In a moment, he'd be passing it over the table. "Here. Might be good for inspiration," he said, alluding to Miyuki, whose mind was obviously at work. "Hai hai. If you would please, Iino-chan," Miyuki said with his hands clasped, pleading for assistance.

People say they feel seen there...
That should be enough."

Miko and Yugi were kindred in their appreciation of numerous favorite things. Kaguya had always taken an odd stance on the matter, claiming that favorite was supposed to apply to one thing, and while that was right by definition, Miko had decided a long time ago that it wasn't right by feeling. Yugi's stance came with an explanation that most people will choose just one and that doing so would be limiting in some way. His speech was logical but not foundationally traditional. "Sou ka, I can see how you got there~" Kaguya expressed in a non-committal fashion, while looking at Miko. It seemed the girl had found someone who matched her oddities even better than Kaguya initially thought, she was pleased for her friend.

Ah but that didn't matter either as a performance took place and then another was soon to start. Miko had quite a few oddities and one of them was musical in nature. Kaguya now had a reasonable understanding for why the girl was so musically inclined and as such the notion that she'd be taking the new instrument wasn't even worth the extra thought... "There you are♥~" she said unable to keep the excitement at bay while watching the girl giddily accept the shamisen. "It's good for being awesome♪~" Miko chirped as she accepted the instrument. For a brief second her hands would be seen, gently caressing it, as if she was coming to know it's body in a sensual way. She'd mostly lost sight and sound for everything else in the room. Dainty and deft fingers began to gently strum and with the ask for assistance, Miko would respond with simply one word... "Hai♪~" she twitted. Still, she'd be tapping her fingers gently against the body of the instrument, carrying a steady beat, only to make the strings pull like perfectly placed punctuation for the words spoken by Miyuki. 'Sou ka... not profound. Still hiding, still safe... could technically be considered divided and... approval seeking...' with the music going Miko's ideations and understanding cleared up. She tapped three times right at the end of the last sentence helping the wrap-up while her fingers gently vibrated the last strings. And with that done she could be happy with the music, though she wished she had access to a soundboard, a sample like that could be woven into a lot of different kinds of music. "Oya♥~ Well, I guess someone has a more definite favorite. And someone else still gets really wrapped up in sounds. I'm pretty sure that should be the turn passing along♥~" Kaguya chattered after that rather stimulating song.

With the turn passed it was once again Miko's turn. She'd not be letting go of that instrument any time soon, and would instead be busying her hands for a while yet. "Truth or are we still feeling brave, Shirogane-san♪~" Miko asked plucking a string when hse spoke his name.

If nothing else, Kaguya wouldn't be arguing against Yugi's logic. Surely she'd heard something similar from Miko before, and surely she wasn't entirely opposed to the idea. He had a feeling she just didn't have enough incredible options in any field to understand multiple favorites yet. What a shame. Moving on though, Miyuki's haiku was given. Yugi found it... safe, tame, a little boring but otherwise acceptable for a normal person. He even ended with 'that should be enough,' which was one line Yugi found slightly amusing. "That was... fun," he said about the haiku. Taking that as a compliment, Miyuki rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. "I know it sucks. But the message is real, and I thought it'd be a little funny with the last line."

And so came a performance from Miko. Yugi felt comfortable passing the instrument along to someone who knew music so well, but he wondered what would come of Miko having such use of her fingers. Time would tell what, if anything, came from that. In the meantime, Miyuki was once again targeted by Miko for her turn. She wasn't making him stop thinking she had some form of interest in him. But, again... she'd definitely felt an erection that he doubted she'd gotten anything close to. Such was simply the confidence Miyuki had in what rested within his trousers. "Brave is the name of the game, Iino-chan! Gimme all you've got~" he challenged, leaving himself fully at the mercy of whatever extreme she had this time. "By the way, Kiriya-kun, I think you should have passed that to her sooner. No offense, but..." Yugi shook his head before Miyuki even finished speaking. "I'm not going to pretend I even know how to play that thing well. I'm just in it for the memes."

"It was fun..." Miko concurred. She also saw the potential oddness of the last sentence that ended his haiku. Still she believed him to be constantly walking a strange line. Oddly enough, if she'd known the kind of things he was thinking she might have been a bit more surprised. Still, with a new instrument in her hand she started to play, it was light and playful and seemed to have a beat akin to hopping with each string pull. It was a fun sound, one which Miko herself seemed to enjoy quite a bit.

While she casually plucked those strings putting together a gentle sounding beat which was slowly growing in aggression and upbeat tempo, Miyuki claimed she should give him all she had. A smirk of the knowing variety broke across Miko's face, "You don't want that♪~ Shi♪~ ro♪~ ga♪~ ne♪~ san♪~," Miko plucked those strings and seemed to be easily stringing in the syllables of his name to that gentle music she was creating. The more she thought about it though the better her thoughts on this dare became, either he'd be stripped of more clothes, or have a reaction she could better understand and she'd have to take a couple more drinks before wandering off. As for the rest. "Your dare, should you choose to accept it is... take off your pants. Spend the rest of the game like that♪~" Miko said with the most innocent look on her face, even though her eyes contained a hint of deviousness. No matter she'd keep enjoying herself. She didn't agree with Yugi's assertion, his play of this instrument wasn't bad or anything. A lot could be done with simple chord progressions and she'd make sure to say that. Meanwhile, Kaguya was smirking, 'She really said that with that look on her face. Scandalous♥~'
