Combat Style: Shisui is an extremely strong and talented swordsman. At a very young age, he was trained in "Royal Swordplay". He has also learned other sword styles from Tamao, making him a more rounded swordsman. After intensive training under Tamao, Shisui -thanks to his increased concentration- showed the ability to see an enemy moving far slower than normal; this allows him to fight a group of opponents easily.
Zanpakutō
Senzakegame (仙酒甕, Hermit's Sake Jug): When unreleased, Shisui's weapon is a standard-length wakizashi with a fused hilt and guard, the latter of which is connected to the pommel by a guard branch. The guard section features an elaborate crown-like design with a red gem at its center, showing on either side of the weapon.
Shikai: Its release command is
Anata no ōkan o tsuke nasai (あなたの王冠を着けなさい, Don your Crown). While its handle remains the same as its sealed state, the blade becomes a that of a wide short sword. The entire weapon becomes black in color with a glowing eight-pointed star at the base of the blade, and a flame design reaching from the star halfway up the blade.
- Shikai Special Ability: It has the ability to produce and to manipulate fire. The sword is completely immune to any type of fire or heat. If it is attacked by it, it will completely absorb it and strengthen itself while restoring Shisui's Reiryoku. In this form his attack range is slightly larger so if his sword doesn't hit the opponent the heat produced around the sword is able to slice and enhance the range of the attack.
