Mid-morning on a certain day, in a dreary grey skied city, a single video was being posted to a very popular Youtube channel. Such a video contained the active dressing of a young woman with brown skin and startling purple eyes. Her hair long and purple to match seemed to be quite shiny and the background of the imagine was lit by the gently rising morning sun, barely peeking over the horizon. Here and now, she'd speak looking directly into a camera set up just above her own body giving a full view of herself. "Ello, Bunnies~ I hope you're all up bright and early this mornin'~ I have a mystery giveaway..." she mused to the camera offering them a smile. "But... it's a secret~" she whispered playfully. "Of course, as you can see. I have an update to the little black dress, that video will go up later this week. And I'll be wearing this look to a very special event," she said, as she worked all that long hair, minus her bangs and forward pieces in to a smooth ponytail at the top of her head. That black pinstriped dress she wore bunched ever so gently at the front. She was a pretty normal girl by her own approximation, she simply knew how to dress herself and what she looked good in."This is a preview for the high ponytail look, list of my favorite products in the description. Call this video a sneak peek, then?" she said a few choice items were hidden behind her. "The first 10 bunnies to figure out what all I am going to be doing this week, will win the limited edition Blue Lotus Bunny Ears!~" she announced. "You simply have to tag me on Twitter, @BlueLotus, and mention my activity... I'll get the details and mail you the ears if you guess correctly." This was a short video but it'd been composed to give away what her surprise was going to be. A yellow ribbon, a hand bag, a lace pair of booties on her feet. But in the background, a signed copy of an Aeons manga as well as a few small figurines but the models were blank. Oh this was a good one. Just a small hint. The cover on the book wasn't even visible. But... it was just enough that a few people might be able to figure it out. A nice bit of publicity and a bit of a present for those of her followers who kept up with her on multiple platforms, she figured it'd be a good present for them. "Anyways, I'm now running a bit late, I wouldn't want to keep all you bunnies waiting, so...." a gentle wave and the flick of the bunny ear atop her head would signal her outro.
Soon enough, that video was uploaded. Only moments later, the Youtube channel of "Blue Lotus" as she was called, appeared on another screen... and on many others which received a livestream in the following seconds. First, the number "1" was shown, before the video capture was scrolled up to show the lass' recording. When the playback started, thousands of screens would be granted a split view of Blue Lotus' video, and the livestream's host: a certain social media star with the handle "God-King" and a massive enough following to stream at random without waiting for viewers. Said viewers would bear witness to a brown-skinned male with mid-length, dripping brown hair that his hand ran through as he addressed his following. "First~♥" was his introduction, strangely enough. He seemed excited, beaming brightly as eyes akin to the sun stared into the camera. "Morning, you lot! Guess what? I know what she's doing this week~"
For whatever reason, this male was reacting to the young woman's video. He gazed upon it with utmost adoration and excitement, like some childish fan sitting down for their favorite cartoon on Saturday morning. Hell, if he had a bowl of cereal, he could sit next to such a child as their tall twin. "Look at that. Look at that!" he chanted while observing the woman's ensemble, sparing a glance at the number of views her video was now receiving. "Want those ears, don't ya'? I'd love a pair, but... that'd be a bit of a cheat, wouldn't it? Tell ya' what? She's going to con! Better yet, we're on the same panel!" Ah, the reason behind his wet hair was indeed that he'd recently hopped out of the shower. Still drenched, he wouldn't dare miss a notification to his phone from this particular Youtube channel─ rather, the only one he enabled notifications for. "Go on, then! Run on over, show some love to our favorite gal, and tell her I sent you if you make it into the lucky ten!" With that said, the man sighed, seeming legitimately disappointed for just a moment. "Damn shame though, innit? Wouldn't be fair of me to win as an insider, so what I really need is for at least one of you guys to win in my place, yeah? And, if you can make it to London this week, why not stop by the panel to get them signed, and I'll slide over a lovely little loyalist bonus to top it all off!"
He was on the move the entire time this stream took place. A bit of shifting here, a bypass of a doorframe there, and he was outside in the open. It seemed this man was en route from a very different location at the moment, but it seemed... he was already in London during the stream. "Con's today, if I didn't mention. I'm on my way through Old Street to get there now, so I guess I'll hang with you lot, my fam, before it all gets started. Keep me company so I don't get too nervous to work alongside the queen herself, yeah? Oh! And click the link to my charity! We're still trying to meet goal for the improvement of orphanages; the attachments on that website should show you what's already been done in Leeds. It's good work we're doing here guys, let's keep it up!"
While traveling, the girl who was known on social media as 'Blue Lotus' received a notification for her YouTube Channel. A certain other well known individual had just commented on her video, claiming to have been first! She looked over her screen in her chauffeured vehicle, and wondered why someone who was going to be at the same place as her would even bother. "God-King? He's on the panel. Is this publicity? I feel like I see that name a lot..." she mused. It would be now that she spent time looking at her analytics. She clicked that name and searched through her platform. The numbers attached to that name were indeed astounding. 'Blimey, this one's madferit...' she thought. This lad had a 100 percent watch rate. He'd seen her every video, he'd commented on every one. He was likely her most active viewer. And he was on her panel? She was almost willing to brush this whole thing aside, but it really didn't seem right that he wouldn't get himself a pair of the limited edition ears because he couldn't participate when he was obviously an active viewer. 'It'd only be right, for what is apparently by biggest fan...' Texted her publicist and a couple of other people. She was already being messaged about the live stream, though she hadn't tuned it, she was being advised to say hello at least since she was given a shoutout and all. So, yes, publicity. Within a few moments the first 10 slots had been filled. So a quickie update on Twitter would suffice, she was in a car after all.
At the same time, one of the viewers of the God-King's stream had indeed checked out his charity cause. And he'd find, soon enough a large donation would be crossing his screen. Actually, large wasn't the right word... A 1 Billion Yen donation to that Charity dropped. It was attached to a certain user handle written not in English but translated to MisakiNeesan.
Step after step, the English male progressed through the city of London on his way to the aforementioned convention. He was an absolute ball of nerves, but also of excitement. His most regular viewers could tell this with great ease, if only because of his reactions to... well, life itself at the time. "Oh yeah! I should show off the fit of the day, shouldn't I? Sorry folks; woke up a bit thick today," he explained to his audience. Without further ado, he moved his cellphone's camera away from his face. In doing so, he showcased a navy-colored, floral print shirt with gold and silver graphics, tucked into a pair of black dress pants and gold knob-toe shoes. Upon recovering the position of his camera, he received a notification of his own, directly to the stream. "Ayy, that's the ticket mates! We got a─"
His pause was immediate, and filled with more shock than he'd known in... ages. "MisakiNeesan," he repeated with an oddly accurate Japanese accent after reading the translated name. "... has donated... a billion yen? How much is a billion yen?" he wondered before checking his chat, which would soon provide the answer. Upon receiving it, well, his eyes widened further yet. "Bloody hell, over six million pounds? Really?! You're either filthy rich, or some sort of nutter! Either way, I don't think I've got enough gratitude in me to show, sOoOoOo~... lads?" he offered, allowing a simple chance for the members of his chat to assault MisakiNeesan with messages, emotes, and other such praises for their contribution. He'd even have their username highlighted in the livestream as top donator, which he didn't imagine would be changing any time in the next several decades. "MisakiNeesan, are you from Japan, or just a weeblet? No offense; it's hard to tell nowadays, innit? If you're local, here's hoping I can see you at con!" he added, a two-fingered salute and a wink being offered to the camera as he did so.
Ah yes, the watchers of God-King's live stream were soon given a look at the man's outfit. Any who saw how he chose to dress himself, might wonder why he was so infatuated with the Fashionista known as Blue Lotus, but his followers already knew he was just smitten. Actually, that was becoming more obvious by the second given that he'd forgotten to show off his outfit until this moment. He was like a kid on the first day of school. It was an adorable thing to behold from at least one viewers perspective. Ah, but that wasn't really the point, MisakiNeesan had been noticed, her donation pinned her at the top of the donators and beyond that, it seemed she received a shoutout. 'I am Japanese, but you're one to talk about weeblets. Your Japanese pronunciation is perfect.' A reply from a young woman on the other side of the world in a text box that was now highlighted because she was a donor. 'I also don't really need the gratitude or anything.' she was shy about accepting praise for things, but that was just who she was. 'I enjoy your content and the way you do business. I am also fond of kids so the charity speaks to me, that's all.' Yes, quick replies as the man approached his meeting of choice. 'Unfortunately, I can't currently take a break for a trip to London, I'm studying for exams. I'm rooting for you though, God-KingXBlue Lotus~' And that would be all from that one. And no, in the moment, she didn't realize how very typically Japanese she would sound by claiming studying for exams was the reason for her lack of travel, even so it was very true. She'd go back to silence and watching his stream with amusement in crimson colored eyes. She hadn't been dishonest at all, she really enjoyed this man's character. Besides that, he was obsessed with Blue Lotus, and acted as if he was her number one fan, she wished him great happiness and luck in his endeavors.
At the same time, Blue Lotus had an update go out on Twitter. The first of which listed 10 names for her winners of her mystery giveaway. The second though had an @God-King. Since you were a great sport about it. I got you sorted too. It's only right since you shout me out and comment on all my videos. See you soon~. The tag was attached to a picture of her in the car holding a pair of the Limited Edition Blue Lotus Ears. Of course these were her own extra pair, but according to her publicist it would go over well, and she'd be sent a new set as well. In the picture she'd thrown up the peace sign as well, adding to its overall cuteness. Today was going to be an interesting day for everyone involved. She'd eventually find herself at the convention venue having already had her things checked into a nearby hotel. She'd be sitting around this place for a couple of days, even so, she planned to enjoy her time here.
Ah, he was receiving a few messages in return, beginning a bit of a dialogue with this MisakiNeesan follower. She was Japanese, yes, but furthermore pointed out his own status as a 'weeblet' by virtue of his pronunciation. "Haha! Could I ever be anything else? I'm on my way to an anime convention, and I'm a character! I'm also planning another trip to Japan in a few months. I'll keep you lot posted, so look me up when I make it over!" he proclaimed. This person didn't need any of the gratitude, but he didn't care; he wasn't going to see that sort of donation without answering it properly. If he ever met the owner of this account, he'd be sure to put meeting them at the top of his to-do list. Alas, that meeting would not be happening any time soon due to MisakiNeesan's... exams. Ah, he remembered those days. "Yikes! Well, chin up! Ace those exams; you've got the greatest rooting for you. Give a cheer, chat!"
The final note from MisakiNeesan had been one regarding his adoration of Blue Lotus. How interesting─ the two were rooting for one another in a way. Moving on, there was another notification to excite the man this day. Specifically, the notification bar of his phone registered a tag by one... @BlueLotus. His brow rose, and his eyes widened. What could this be? He'd never been acknowledged directly by Blue Lotus, and this particular tag came with an attached image and... a message implying he would also be receiving the merchandise she offered in her giveaway. "Jesus Christ, that's..." He wasn't sure what to say, nor what to say it about. The image? Flawless as usual. The offer? Incredible. The fact that he'd been spoken to by Blue Lotus? An absolute dream. Oh, and of course there was the little 'see you soon' she added, which was a very appealing little flirt in his imaginary version of the world; that one obviously wouldn't be addressed. Well, all things considered, there was only one way for him to take all of it, wasn't there? "Oh, brilliant! Absolutely fan-tastic! Today's my lucky day lads, so let's get this thing moving properly!" He offered these final words to his fans as he, too, approached the building in which he would finally meet the 'queen' he'd been raving about.
Ah, he was indeed a character. The man known as God-King online, had caught the eye of the Aeons, a favored set of writers/mangaka that MisakiNeesan enjoyed. And they in turn had immortalized this man as a certain Nidaime Kazekage... it was very interesting. She supposed knowing this that she could understand a bit better why his Japanese pronunciations were so good and understand him being a weeblet. Look him up? Hm, she'd consider it. She was a follower of his, she'd have no problem tracking him down for a meet and greet, if he ever made it to this area. She wouldn't mind involving herself in his type of business either... she'd add it to her calendar. But for now, they were rooting for each other, and that was kind of sweet. She could consider herself allied with him in this way and she really was rooting for his potential relationship with Blue Lotus. If he got that girl, he was winning one for all the shut-ins with over-the-top convictions everywhere. If he managed this, even she'd have hope of eventually finding someone who'd put up with her.
Before the panel, this purple haired lass, found herself researching the lad known as God-King. She knew him to be a topic of interest for the Aeons, actually his face already belonged inside of one of their universes. He was apparently a game streamer, philanthropist, and an Instagram Model? Oh... that needed looking into, she'd have a glance at his Twitter a bit later. She began very easily scanning through all of his information. What all would she find when looking up this man? Well right just now her eyes were traveling over his Instagram and his pictures, well...
She scrolled through image after image of a brown skinned man with golden eyes shirtless, hair wet, smoldering eyes staring at the camera. Was this really the guy?! Did gamer guys come this attractive? That was a myth right, like finding a unicorn... a guy who devoted his time to playing video games wasn't allowed to be this attractive. He had to have some kind of problem. Strangely, after staring at all of his pictures she only became more curious. 'Blimey, guys this good looking don't actually exist. I mean... there has to be something wrong with him right?' she questioned herself as she started to get nervous about meeting him. He was really good looking, way too good looking to be into her. Surely this whole interaction was just a publicity stunt, except, he'd been watching all of her videos long before now. She knew that from the analytics. Perhaps right before their panel wasn't the time to start looking into such an individual?
At long last, it was time to approach the panel. God-King, as he was known online, stood just outside as an absolute ball of nerves. Was the young woman he'd be hosting this panel with already inside? That'd be wonderful... and terrible. With a temporary farewell to the viewers of his stream, he pocketed his cellphone and paced outside the door of this recreational center. Their panel was going to be a pretty big deal for the duration of the convention, but it wasn't as if they'd be seated far from each other. Breath! How was his breath?! A few huffs into his palm proceeded several sniffs to check. 'Damnit! I need a pocket bottle of mouthwash or something; I can't get by around her with just a wash and a toothbrush,' he thought. Interestingly enough, his breath was quite minty; he just didn't believe it was good enough. Ah, to be smitten and blind to one's own appeal. All those people thirsting over him online, paying endless compliments and the like─ it was as if he'd never heard a word of it. Their opinions didn't matter here anyway, as there was but a single favor he sought to gain.
"Right. Time to make mum proud, or... whatever. Geronimo," he said after several minutes of deliberation, and far too much pacing. A deep inhale, a slow exhale, and he was pushing open those doors. He'd bypass quite a few others setting up their booths for the convention, as well as a few early birds getting a look at things before events began. Only one area would strike his interest. As much as he'd have loved to enjoy the convention for what it was worth, the only location he had eyes for was a large booth with faux sand and limestone structures, where he expected to encounter the only woman worth meeting at a veritable nerd haven, or... anywhere, really─
This whole situation was spiraling out of control. In the time before the panel was seated and before even the set up was properly finished everywhere, Blue Lotus had immersed herself into the online persona of God-King. She'd looked through his Instagram, his Twitter, even his Facebook. She'd turned into an internet stalker in a matter of minutes. She'd opened a wormhole into his life and beyond that a different kind of hole in her own mind. Surely this man wasn't actually exclusively interested in her. His liked posts on Twitter were hers, fashion-related, video game-related or archaeology? He had interests and hobbies but he wasn't just liking random girls' posts. Even though most were practically and impractically throwing themselves at him all throughout his comments on his pictures. 'Wait. Calm down... he's probably a stalker... you could be aiming to keep a bit of distance clear head and all of that...' she tried to talk herself down, but while looking at his more recent uploaded images she couldn't help but let her mind wander. 'Still, if he's sound... he's absolutely gorgeous. Too gorgeous actually...' Oh to not understand one's appeal wasn't limited to one gender. Maybe they'd understand all of this soon enough.
She incidentally found her way to the panel room and saw the set up at the table. How very cute. It was like a snapshot of that world that the Aeons offered her a spot in. She wondered if this was normal. Did girls really entertain the idea of dating someone who might be stalking them, just because they were attractive? Did the Aeons set this up thinking of including her character with his? Was it a chemistry test? Or did he really just fancy her for reasons she didn't understand? Actually, with the lack of commenting on other women, she might have assumed him to be homosexual if she didn't know about his views to her channels. A quick inspection of her other social media and he noted his name popped up a few times in other places as well. When seen, she was leaning against the table in her little black dress and a pair of 6 inch red bottom stiletto heels. Her phone was pushed up near her face and those purple eyes of hers reflected the soft light. She seemed to be in deep thought. In fact she was almost in her own little world, mostly her deep dive into the man known as God-King, which she definitely wouldn't have been doing if she'd known they were occupying the same place.
'Alright. Should be right around this...' The male's mental musings came to a screeching halt when he found the panel, or rather, a pair of bunny ears atop a mass of luxurious purple hair. Oh, there was no mistaking that combination of things. Once more, a bit of deep breathing was key as he stepped forward. He approached from the opposite side of the table, thinking the woman seemed a bit taller than he imagined. No, that couldn't be right; he knew her height precisely... unless it was a lie, but he doubted that. Heels were surely the answer. Ah, he'd love a good look at those─ wait, no, focus! He had to introduce himself, right? That was the polite thing to do, and something he was very adept at doing... in any interaction that wasn't driven by a likely unhealthy state of admiration. Lucky him, though; his approach from the rear allowed him a very interesting view... of himself, in her phone.
Who'd have thought that his lack of ideas for introduction would be met by the perfect setup for a hello. Well, maybe perfect wasn't the word, but it was a start. "Please, if you're gonna follow me, do it while I'm not looking. I don't think my heart could take the impact," he said. In truth, he may have given himself a heart attack... or maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration─ just a bit. "... Also, as far as hellos are concerned, tell me that was a ten of ten. I thought way too long just to end up with bugger all to say, so..."
Right. She was in public, she shouldn't be so deep into her phone at a moment like this. How would this hubris be rewarded? With speech which made the lass jump just a little. She instantly made her screen darken and managed to look like a kid caught at something naughty. "Blimey! I didn't expect anyone, right just then..." she said seeming just a bit bashful, pushing hair out of her face in a bit of a nervous habit. "Much less you... this is exactly my luck though," she murmured softly. He'd spoken first, about her perusing his photos and all. If she could have avoided being caught doing such a thing, she would have, but since she couldn't, she'd roll with it. "Anyway, I'd say... I wasn't doing anything but..." she paused looking at him and giving him a bit of a smile as she recovered herself enough to relax a bit. "I was just checking up on a guy who managed to watch all of my videos on YouTube, even though he obviously doesn't need the advice~" she mentioned. "Well, that came out a bit flirtier than I intended... I'm Nikoleta, you can call me Nikki," she introduced herself extending a hand to the man. "So should I call you a fan or a stalker?" she asked playfully. Oh, yes, she had enough number data that she could qualify him as either, but she wanted to know how he'd feel about being confronted with such information, while it was still an option to run from and avoid him if he got too scary. Though honestly, looking at him in person she might be willing to let a bit of crazy slide. Those eyes of his were enchanting up close.
Shock. That was about what one could expect of being caught in such a situation─ not that he would complain about seeing any sort of emotion this woman cared to express. Indeed, it was just her luck that he'd be the one catching her scrolling through his social media accounts... and it was just his stroke of good luck to have the confidence boost of her reaction. Alas, he wouldn't be able to roll with this level of confrontation. In admitting to her actions, the lass pointed out how frequently he watched all of her videos. How awkward, yet... salvageable. He was a bit bashful about being caught, but all that did was put the pair of them in a similar situation to one another. Moreover, there was a proper introduction to address. "Quite right. Fancy meeting you, Nikki; this is brilliant!" he said while happily reaching out to take her hand He may have been a bit zealous when shaking it, but a certain gentleness remained in his grip─ almost as if he'd have been caressing her skin if not for the natural movement of a handshake. "Bit of flirting never hurt anybody, by the way. I promise I don't mind~"
Now then, what was he? Fan, or stalker─ he surely had to be one of the two. On a good day, he may have been a heaping help of both. Without so much as an attempt to release Nikoleta's hand, at least fully, he managed the most sensible retort he could think of. Of course, any flirting he offered was very much intended. "Call me any and everything you like, luv. Number one fan, sexiest stalker of the bunch, darling, sweetheart, whatever tickles your fancy is a ripsnorter as far as I'm concerned. Or, if that's all too much, I suppose I could just settle for my name, couldn't I? Oliver, by the way... but I'm guessing you figured that out while you were stalking all my socials just now~"
The young woman who introduced herself as Nikki had her hand touch this golden eyed young man's. How very odd. It was a normal shake but they didn't seem to be letting go of each other, she didn't immediately try separating herself either. Even with the zealous shake there was a certain tenderness across her skin. She was probably blushing and not just from potential awkwardness. 'Did I mention this man is way too attractive?' she questioned herself as she looked up at those eyes. They were almost fiery at that color intense like pictures of the sun, but here he was, excited to meet her in person. "I can see that, but... I can't disagree," Nikki said. Her own eyes hadn't moved. Christ in heaven the this man was gorgeous.
What was more, when she called attention to his internet activities, he accepted them honestly. "Really?! That's a lot though isn't it?" she questioned as she was given permission to basically call him whatever she wanted to over time. How very strange, she might have claimed she was mesmerized but he was definitely charming. Even for a stalker she could see herself acquiescing to a few wishes if she could stare into those eyes for a bit longer. Oh, he'd introduced himself properly, mentioning that she likely knew his name because she'd been on his social media already. "Well, I did find out your name. But I also noticed, that in all of those pictures you tagged yourself as Ozzy," she said seeming just a bit sheepish, but if she was going to be feeling a bit bashful all day, he might as well too. "So I'll call you that, okay?" she admitted with a bit of a chuckle. "It's really strange, you just admitted to being a stalker level super fan, but here you are, smiling and owning it."
"That right? Well I'll be─ let it all just slip out as you like then~" he mused as their handshake sat seemingly in limbo, never being loosed on either end. His list of names/titles may have been a bit much, but he was perfectly content to accept any and every one of them if she'd be the one saying the words. "Is it a lot? I might like a lot. Couldn't hurt, right?"
She did have his name, but with it came something of a nickname he went by in his own tags. There was an interesting, albeit small explanation behind that. Whatever the case, he was quite serious when he said this woman could address him as she pleased, and he'd continue grinning ear to ear about it. "If it works for you, it works for me. Besides, Ozzy is way cooler than Oliver, innit? I like having a couple of zeds," he explained. Outside of more businesslike meetings, he would always prefer that moniker anyway. Additionally, there was a special little spark added to it when Nikki spoke it, just as he would have anticipated. Of course he was owning up to being something of a stalker as well; he'd always wear that title with utmost pride. "I did, and I am! Blue Lotus' most dedicated stalker─ pretty much sums me up. Seen every video, bought all the merch, and just nearly talked myself into showing up for a few signings. So, all I'm missing is several autographs, mobile number, an extended fan hug, and whatever else the list stretches to. Not too much, is it?"
Let it slip out as she liked? This man's voice was smooth as butter and she was still quite entranced by his eyes beyond all of that. How very charming for someone she should probably find a bit more creepy than she did currently. Maybe, she was simply thinking about this the wrong way? "You seem to like quite a lot there, Ozzy," Nikki said with a chuckle. Her hand was still in his, but she sort of felt comfortable like this, very strange indeed she hadn't tried to properly withdraw yet. Ah, and he liked Ozzy as a name over Oliver for the letter zed included within the name. "Well, I see nothing wrong with the name Oliver. I find my own name to be quite a mouthful so I understand quite a bit. Plus nicknames are quite fun... when said by the right people~" she mused. Something about that was oddly true. If this man enjoyed anything she chose to call him, she had the personal preference of being referred to by her nickname.
A strange thing happened next. Ozzy admitted to being a very dedicated fan and stalker. He did wear it like a badge of pride and moreover, he claimed that he wanted everything that went along with being a fanatic of such epic proportions. "Oh, probably should have talked yourself into one of those signings. Meeting people you're fans of is something that can make them a bit less otherworldly," she said without thinking too much about it. Again, a man this attractive as her personal stalker and an idea was growing on her. At this point she was willing to see hell, if she'd get to look into those eyes of his for a while longer while he sang her praises. Having a personal stalker was weird, to say the least. But, it was coming with a bit of a confidence boost she didn't know she needed until he started talking. "But that's fine I guess. I suppose I can give a couple autographs, I also have your Limited Edition Blue Lotus Ears and my mobile number as long as you give me yours too. I've never had a stalker before, but I feel like I should know when he's contacting me~" she was flirting. Something about this was becoming innately less dangerous as an idea, or maybe she'd just become more comfortable with it over time. Looks were definitely helping in this matter, and the fact that he seemed so alright with what she considered her own rather plain appearance was a bit startling. "I'm not sure what an extended fan hug is... but it sounds like the sort of thing that should require a date of some sort first. So, then Ozzy would that be of interest to you?" she asked him somewhat quizzically. "You realize I'm just a normal girl called Nikki from Manchester, whose really into fashion... I'm not like an actual celebrity or anything," she stated. How very strange, she wondered if this man was one of the strange ones, who was a fan of just the idea of her. Meeting her should have shattered such an infatuation, perhaps by the end of the panel he'd have calmed down and he'd realize she was really very normal.
As the conversation progressed, it was Oliver who first moved to release Nikoleta's hand, placing his own hands on his hips instead. His teeth never stopped showing; there was a mighty appreciation within him every time the woman opened her mouth to send words in his direction. If this entire convention could be skipped to engage in a week-long date with Nikoleta, he'd abandon it in a heartbeat. The focus of his attention here brought up the 'fun' of nicknames when spoken by the right people. In the previous breath, she claimed to see nothing wrong with the name Oliver either. "Oh come off it. Oliver makes me think olive oil. I've spent half my life waiting for someone to call me Extra Virgin." He'd refrain from mentioning how he would take her referring to him by such a name, of course. That would probably be a bit creepy, now that he thought about it.
A fan in a meeting was fated to view the object of their adoration in a less otherworldly manner, as Nikki herself stated. Lies. Those who would classify as otherworldly would be so regardless, and as far as Ozzy was concerned, the one answering to the moniker Blue Lotus would be as much regardless. As such, his retort was rather succinct. "You shut up. You shut your gorgeous mouth right now," he insisted. Now, he would eventually be getting... a couple of autographs, in addition to Nikki's special bunny ears and... an exchange of phone numbers? "Add a pinch to the deal, would you? Got to make sure I'm not dreaming and all. No, wait... I'll keep the dream," he said, paying special heed to the thought that she'd just offered him some sort of date after confirming no knowledge of an extended fan hug, whatever that actually was. In actuality, Ozzy had just been saying whatever came to mind; it was helping him along thus far. Nikki, however, was content to lower herself in his eyes─ if only she knew what an impossible feat that would be. "Well, normal Nikki from Manchester who's really into fashion, I'm normal Ozzy from Blackpool who's really into normal Nikki from Manchester who's really into fashion. You're as much a celebrity as I've ever seen. Tea?"
Their hands finally parted by Ozzy's own doing, such was an interesting thing for Nikki to consider. On the one hand, they were barely introduced strangers so them standing around clinging to each other in public was probably a bit weird. On the other, she really didn't mind holding his hand at all. She should have been giving a bit more consideration to her own developing infatuation. Could such a gorgeous man actually like her as much as he seemed to, before even really getting to know her? Well, she supposed she'd be finding out. Right at the moment though, Oliver... seemed to take issue with his name. Claimed he didn't like the food it could have been related to, and even interjected that he'd been waiting to be called 'Extra Virgin'. "Hahahaaa~" a laugh escaped Nikki as she turned her head to the side. "Oh you come off it, it's hardly that bad. You're just having a go," she mentioned seeming to find a great deal of amusement. Alright. So as it stood, he was funny, charming, ridiculously attractive and apparently into her. Yes, a bit of a stalker by his own logic but was that even really bad at all?
Apparently not, as she found herself offering the lad the things he'd asked for, and got herself a bit of a lecture to boot. Never did this gorgeous man stop smiling at her, and beyond that never did he actually have anything even remotely critical to say about her. In fact he also claimed that she shouldn't say such things herself by his own happy quieting of her thoughts about this. Supportive to be added to the list. Really, what was there not to like about a guy who was apparently so all about you? Nikki was beginning to have a hard time retaining the level of rationality that would have made them stop at friendly acquaintances. She knew this of herself already, perhaps it was at least worth looking into a bit? "A pinch, but not really? You really are that excited just to meet me?" she seemed to be aghast. She'd not been prepared for this sort of attention at all, still, she didn't dislike it coming from this man in the moment. "Blimey, you think the world of me... Tea would be great. Definitely the most unique pitch for a date I've ever gotten Ozzy... I'll give you that, and my number," She agreed to the date without thinking too much about it and had her phone lit up within her hands again willing to exchange numbers with the man before her as obviously this was the start of something new. At this point, she wasn't even sure this man wasn't just playing a really long game of cat and mouse to try and get her attention. Meeting here and now seemed to be a matter of fate and it wasn't like she wouldn't at least give such a potentially good destiny a shot.
Ah, a laugh, so melodic and relaxing to his ear. He could make her laugh, so he could make her smile. He could make her smile, so he could make her happy. These were the comforts reaching into the depths of Ozzy as they spoke. As for his name, he most certainly wasn't just having a go. He'd been expecting to be the butt of many jokes over the years, even though that particular one never reared its head when he could hear it. Maybe one day, it was still ahead of him; oh well.
Of all things touched on here, there was one simple fact that would always be worth addressing: Oliver was extremely excited just to be meeting this woman, and he undoubtedly thought the world of her. There was no greater impact to all six of his senses than being in her presence here and now, and there was only more to come. As far as dating attempts went, he seemed to be knocking the proverbial ball out of the park here. Funny─ he didn't even think these steps would be taken when he found out they would be partners in this convention. This could be marked as a massive victory, to say the least. "I wouldn't say all that, Nikki. The world isn't that big, is it?" he asked rhetorically, a cheeky wink accompanying the clause as his phone emerged. Confident as he seemed, his hand was just about trembling while he enabled Bluetooth sharing to exchange contact information. Luckily enough, Ozzy's mouth could always carry him through weird situations. "Unique pretty much sums me up, doesn't it? You saw the 'gram. Refreshingly hot, innit?"
The chemistry between these two individuals was starting to become apparent even to Nikki. She seemed to find him charming but there was depth here, that she'd not seen before. What was more he seemed to have a pretty good ability to flatter and hide his own nervousness behind more encompassing compliments. Nikoleta knew she wasn't ugly, but she also didn't think of herself as overly attractive. Having a guy so very into her was very different. A cheeky wink was sent her way along with the implication that she was more thought of more than the world. "Compliments like that are like ego boosting, Ozzy~" the purple haired lass mentioned. She enabled blue tooth on her own device as well. She found herself blushing furiously happy for the deep tone of her skin to hide what she assumed would have been obvious redness. If Ozzy was one to let his words carry him through conversation, Nikki was one to bounce back any ideas presented her. His Instagram was a bit refreshing, and she found herself commenting in the oddest way. "You really are quite attractive. I didn't expect a stalker type to be good looking. I don't think that was covered in the stranger-danger chapter of avoiding trouble. So, I'll keep an eye on you with this~" she mentioned having received the proper information. She wasn't the sort to lie Oliver Williams was a very attractive man, even so, she still didn't quite get what it was he liked about her. But she was willing to put aside her own insecurities for a bit at least.
With both phones having Bluetooth enabled, an exchange was made. If Ozzy's adoration of this woman was ever in question, there was an interesting image defaulted to his contact exchange. Specifically, there was a picture of Ozzy himself, as one would expect... though he was in his bedroom, sporting a Blue Lotus-print t-shirt, and surrounded by her merchandise. Yes, there was even a body pillow of the woman next to him as he sat atop the bed... just as there was a life-size cardboard cutout of her against the rear wall. "Yep. That's me as well: Mr. Ego Inflation," he commented in passing as he worked through saving Nikki's information under her nickname. Acknowledged as attractive by the woman, he was also directly pinned as a stalker once more. That was fine; there was nothing more worth dedication to the male. "You ought to get the special edition if you want the part that mentions me. It's the one with bunny ears on the cover, in case you weren't privy. Now, go about keeping an eye on me, and I'll keep a pair on you. Well... I'd do that anyway. So, what now? Check for any extra setup on the booth? Cut out for tea now? Skip to snogging? Slap me for saying that last bit without thinking it through first?"
Since she first noticed this man's name on her YouTube channel, Nikoleta had been a bit worried by how much this man's name popped up. It was true she had nothing but questions. Surely, he couldn't just be that interested in her. But as she looked over his contact information, adding his nickname... the picture on it was the man before her, surrounded by and wearing her merchandise. "Oh wow..." she muttered seemingly stunned. "I thought you were madferit before now, this is..." she couldn't even complete the thought. It was so unlikely that anyone would be this much of a fan. He had to be almost single-handedly supporting her career at this point. When adding to that he was good-looking, her type and not obviously deranged, it was like hitting the jackpot. He'd continue keeping both eyes on her and she could keep an eye on him? Sounded pretty fair to her at least. "Bunny ears on the cover? Oh my... sounds like a version you would have doctored, not one that simply mentions you~" she mused. Yes, she could be coy about this, but it would seem the man now in her company seemed to have a bit of word vomit falling from his face. Options for the morning, included ducking out for tea, doing extra set up on the booth, snogging or slapping Ozzy for mentioning snogging? "Tehehethahaahaha~" she laughed. How could she not? Did this man really just say all of that?
"Well, I won't slap you I don't think... I am not the slapping sort," she said. "Though skipping straight to snogging isn't really my style either..." she gave a bit of a pause. In the moment she kind of wished it was her style. She'd been a bit relaxed about her assessment but she was really attracted to Ozzy, but she still felt it necessary to get to know him, especially since he seemed to know so much about her. "I already talked to the set up people here. We aren't up for a bit and they don't want or need our help with the booth set up. They were very firm about that part..." She mentioned, given the time she'd arrived and that the convention was far from peak hours they had a bit of time. After all, their panel didn't actually start for a few hours anyways. "So basically what I'm saying is... Tea," she said pushing off from the table and beginning to walk. This was still a convention venue, they could easily find a quiet place to have a snack and chat.
"You thought? I am! Don't get me wrong luv, I'm not a complete nutter or anything... just... maybe a bit mental," Ozzy explained of himself. It didn't really make sense, but it was about as much sense as Ozzy himself could grasp of the situation. He was entirely sane in any normal situation, but the moment a new upload was made by Blue Lotus on any platform, there he was, like a child on Christmas. What did that make of today then? There wasn't a single holiday or event that could compare in lucrativeness to this day, so he'd have to give it a special rating above the lot.
He wouldn't be slapped for letting that question slip from his mouth... good. With that being the case, he could let it be passed off as innocent flirting, though it had undoubtedly been an honest desire in his mind. "Quite right. No slapping, no snogging, no complaints here. Well... maybe not no complaints, but... you get what I mean," he said, assuming it to be truth. As for their actual plans, it seemed 'tea' was the ideal answer, since their booth would be completed by others on set. "Bit weird, but no fuss from me if I don't have to fret over design. Damn shame I can't see your work in live action though," he griped. Nevertheless, the ideal future was here and now. All that remained was determining a location, and luckily, he'd been to this building enough times in his past two days of being here, that he had a bit of information about food. "Tea it is. If you're up for it, there's a spot about half a block down with some great chips, and I mean fantastic stuff."
Ah, so Ozzy thought himself a bit crazy but not outright the kind that could or rather should be run from. Well, at least he was being honest in his assessment. As far as she could tell, Oliver was fairly level-headed and only seemed to be even remotely problematic because of her. "I respect your candor there. Definitely points for knowing about your own weaknesses~" she said with a chuckle. She still found him humorous, he was definitely winning at a lot of things right now. Mostly at impressing her and making her lower her guard a bit more than she likely should.
Innocent flirting a bit of conversation. A moment for tea probably was pretty fair for getting to know each other. "Quite right," she mused still basically laughing. No need to tell him snogging wasn't completely off the table. Actually, she might have considered saying such but he was already so excited, perhaps saving a surprise or two for later would work out in her favor. "Apparently, letting me mess with the design would be like putting a star to work~" she said repeating what she'd heard from the organizers. "I wouldn't mind doing such a thing, but... if they'd rather handle it themselves... I won't be too keen," she said explaining the situation. "Still it isn't like watching someone make design choices is interesting you know? Well, I suppose it might be interesting enough to you considering your watch rates..." she said still teasing his fanboy status. Ah, there were chips, fantastic chips... even. Tea of chips with Ozzy didn't sound like the sort of thing she could turn down at all. Besides, sitting across from him would give her a chance to look at him a bit more without being creepy herself... plus. "Chips would be lovely~ Come on then... lead the way," she mentioned willing to follow to this place with nice chips and a good bit more conversation with Ozzy.
Was it a weakness he suffered from? No, that couldn't be right at all. He did feel rather weak in the knees since physically meeting the object of his adoration, but he also felt as if he'd ascended to greater heights than ever before. Now, he would even be going on a date with Nikoleta herself! Neither his day, nor his life could get any better than it was currently, as far as Ozzy was concerned. "Watching design choices is boring, if I'm being honest," he admitted while trying to recall the little shop he thought of. "No offense; that's not what I watch your videos for. Hell, I've half a mind to sit down and watch a livestream of you sitting in bed all day. Plus for jimjams." Well, he was just a dump when it came to admitting things today, wasn't he? He didn't care. This woman consumed his life, and she could know it just as his followers did. If she truly ever produced a recording of herself sitting around doing nothing for 24 hours, he'd watch it─ he'd even go to sleep when she did. For now though, there was no such thing to enjoy... and if anyone knew that, it was him. So, chips it was! Ozzy would happily gesture for the young woman to follow along, even extending his hand to her as he moved about. They'd be leaving the location of this convention, but the journey would only take them down the street a bit to reach a cozy little curbside shop with exterior dining tables under parasols. "There's the spot! Best chips in London, far as what I've had the past couple of days. Proper thick ones, too; not those shabby little bits that break when you pick them up."
Ah, so he agreed that watching someone make design choices wasn't interesting. Making them herself was something entirely different. Her YouTube channel was basically her making design choices while giving advice on how to make better style choices for yourself. She simply used herself as a model for a lot of things, and used it as a way to get her name out there. She realized this was probably strange, but more strange than that was Ozzy admitting to some other crazy thing. "Blimey, you lay it on thick," she said seeming to be abashed. He truly just claimed he'd simply been watching her videos because she was in them. What was she supposed to do with a compliment like that? "Really plus for the jimjams? You're killing me here, Ozzy~" she stated. She truly was feeling a bit more abashed than normal. Surely he knew he was attractive. He was definitely the type to have anyone, why was he so keen for her? Did she really care that he was so keen for her? She wasn't prepared for this sort of thing when she woke up today.
But here he was, hand extended waiting to lead the way out of the convention center and towards this place with the best chips in London according to him. What would she do, in the case of her own interest and her current level of embarrassment. She'd take that hand. Oh? There it was again. There was a certain warmth taking this man's hand in the moment. She'd sort of missed the feeling of it while they were talking before. "I might like this... a girl could get used to it at least... well... maybe that's a bit too keen," she murmured about the hand holding. Wait, that was probably weird as a thought right? They'd only just met. Was she weirdly charmed by his apparent interest in her? Should she feel bad for liking him when it was obvious she hadn't known who he was before this moment? Well, he was good looking, not really crazy, funny and charming. She could like any man like that, one who happened to like her a lot to start with was probably for the best right? She considered this while sheepishly following along. Until they arrived of course, "Well, everyone likes a nice chip. I believe you if you say they're the best," she said just a bit teasingly. Hell, at this point, she was willing to accept his opinions on things because he probably had more random information about what she liked than she did.
He did lay it on a bit thick, but it wasn't a purposeful thing. In truth, Ozzy was always so free with his opinions, especially when it came to this woman. Such had always been the case, actually. Countless times, he'd been the knight to stand against any who slandered the name of Blue Lotus, always arguing against their nonsense with factual information backed by his own emotional state. A hefty chunk of her following had likely come from his recommendation as well, though he'd done nothing to send them over besides sing Nikoleta's praises during his own streams, videos and messages. What did all of that get him? Nothing at all, of course... but perhaps it was the karma of those actions which currently saw to her hand being placed in his own as they walked out for a snack. Whatever the cause truly was, he probably owed some portion of his soul to it at this point.
More importantly than anything else, it seemed Nikki had some amount of appreciation for their connected hands. If she wanted to get used to such a thing, she could sign him up full-time. Ah, that was yet another thing he would openly admit. "No such thing as too keen," he said during a very bold maneuver of lacing their fingers together. He'd gotten this far already, so he figured this much was worth the gamble in the end. This was how he intended to approach the counter for the sake of ordering. Yes, he was in the company of Nikoleta Corbyn, hand-in-hand, and the entire world should know about it! "Fancy getting used to it, do you? I sure as hell do; just sayin'." How strange it was, that there was a cashier awaiting an order at the moment, yet the eyes of Oliver hadn't registered the poor teen girl's existence as they stared nigh endlessly into the face of Nikki.
She wouldn't know for quite some time, how much Ozzy stood for her. But right at the moment, she was at least realizing he liked her a lot more than a simple bit of fanboy infatuation would imply. She'd suggested and agreed to this date for tea, even so, she found herself just as nervous and highly interested. She really did like holding his hand, but she wasn't sure if he realized just how extraordinary he was, and how very normal she was herself? Well, surely he knew he was godly by comparison. Hell, even when she was worried about him being a psycho stalker she couldn't deny those eyes of his were exciting and enticing. That body that she knew the look of, even while he was fully dressed, also wasn't losing any bets. She really was too keen.
Or apparently not? Their fingers were soon intertwined by Ozzy's own doing. Didn't girls normally have to do a lot to get guys to show them off like this? Weren't most holding out on options, not being seen directly with anyone they couldn't explain away in a moment? "I mean, there is such a thing as too keen. But maybe it just... doesn't apply here," she managed. Nikki's thoughts were quite muddled. She could hardly believe a man this good looking was interested only in her. She needed look no further for confirmation of this, than their arrival at the counter, where she looked over and found the lad she was holding hands with, staring at her and not even looking towards the girl at the counter. Jeez, this amount of attention directly was something she wasn't really prepared for at all. Ozzy was also holding no punches when it came to making sure she understood his interest, even his words charming as they were implied a certain direction of thought. One that seemed to be very present as he spoke to her always. "It's definitely growing on me. You being so sure is definitely helping but... it still seems a bit surreal," she managed. As she turned meeting those eyes of his which she found to be his most attractive feature. Oh goodness, she could really get lost just looking in those eyes of his. Were they truly only for her? Could she be properly unguarded about this? Was this great looking man really this interested in her and her alone? The thought of that was almost frightening, but mostly, just exciting if she was being honest. At least it'd be one hell of a ride.
As their fingers intertwined, Ozzy found no resistance whatsoever to the advancement. Excellent! He was reaching one milestone after another, and each fed into his ability to keep moving forward. Too keen was indeed a concept that couldn't apply here; not to him. She could have been as forward as humanly possible, and he'd have taken it as the ultimate compliment and source of excitement. This entire ordeal was growing on Nikki at least, according to the woman herself. As for it being surreal, she didn't know the half of it. Ozzy was on cloud nine; any higher and he would ascend to the ethereal plane, or some nonsense like that.
What was that noise? Oh... a throat was being cleared. There was someone else here, wasn't there? Their would-be cashier had been waiting with bated breath for an order to be placed, and here Ozzy was, forgetting what the plan was entirely. "Oh! Right, sorry. Can we get a chip basket?" he requested of the lass behind the counter, who despite being an eye-catcher for many, many patrons, barely had Oliver's attention even for the sake of placing an order. He was at least attentive enough to pay, but keeping his eyes off Nikoleta was a difficult task indeed. "Uh. Do you take ketchup or something?" was a question he thought to ask of Nikki while they waited.
Forward? Now that was something that Nikki was but not all the time. Right just now, she was truly trying to figure out this lad with her, while figuring out the if there was some inherent risk she was forgetting about in accepting the obvious attention offered her by Oliver. Oh, there was always going to be a couple of things, the man literally seemed to be in another world while they were talking. She was too though for admittedly different reasons. Right now, a throat was clearing and the very cute girl behind the counter was waiting for their order. Nikki got to watch strangely as Ozzy didn't even seem to register this girl's attractiveness he simply ordered and paid seemingly itching to get back to conversing with her. He wasn't rude about it, or anything like that either. He simply didn't seem to have any attention to offer anyone else right at the moment. 'No! He can't be all of that and actually only interested in me. Not even a wayward glance?! Men like that exist? No... doesn't make sense... none of it makes sense...' Nikki was having an internal meltdown. Even so, that warm hand around hers, fingers intertwined and the fairly undivided attention of Ozzy was about all a girl could want out of any point in her life. "I like ketchup..." she said softly. This man was so strange, he had to know right? That he was attractive enough to have literally any woman he wanted? He could have her, at this point she was only waiting for the other shoe to drop, to find out what was wrong about this situation. There had to be something right? "You're real right? I haven't just lost my wits and all since waking up this morning?" she questioned this man's existence. Super attractive, into her and only her, charming... this was bordering upon unreasonable, someone had to be taking the piss right?
Ketchup she liked, so ketchup they would have. Ozzy looked out briefly to confirm there were bottles of said condiment upon some tables, and he did see quite a few. Good; he'd be selecting one of those tables then. Oh, how exciting! It wouldn't be long now. He could see a few prime choices for sitting, a small selection of tables that were decently separated from others, each with only two seats. Ah, what a perfect place this would be to step even further beyond the walls of reality. Speaking of reality, that was something soon to be in question by Nikki. Really? Did she really think this was her question to ask? Ridiculous! "Oi oi, hold the phone─" Ozzy insisted. His face tinted around the cheeks, and his eyes widened just slightly. "Shouldn't I be the one asking that? I said, didn't I? I oughta be dreaming right now, but leave me sleeping if I am! It can't be anything new for you to have lads throwing themselves at your feet. Wait... should I have done that? I should have done. Still could, really. Yeah..."
A very strange break in reality was happening here, Nikki was sure of it. She had answered his question and he was attentive, looking around, no doubt picking a place for them to sit and have their chips and speak quietly with one another. That would be fine. She'd already agreed to that, but still she was having trouble processing this situation. He seemed more surprised by her reaction than she could begin to understand. "No, no... I don't think you should, I'm the one surprised here..." she said it was really hard to explain all of this. Perhaps though if she walked him through it, he'd understand her disbelief a bit better. Was she used to lads throwing themselves at her... well, yes. That was simple enough. "Well, you're not wrong no. I get asked out at a pretty reasonable frequency. Flirted with while in queues and that sort of thing... Comments on some of my videos can get a bit aggressive too. I disabled my dms on Twitter a long time ago too, but you... you are something very different," she said giving this for a reason of knowing she was more than reasonably attractive. "And blimey you don't have to do anything more, to be fair... aside from me wondering if you exist outside of my own imagination, I'm madferit." she admitted almost sheepishly. Was there really a proper way to explain all of this to him? Well, that was probably something to think about, but, he was right. If this was simply a dream... she could definitely keep it.
"No way! You're taking the piss, right? I'm starstruck, awestruck, and every other kind of struck right now, you've got no idea," said Ozzy. Sure, he was a bit more than the average obsessive fan, but there was no way he was the first, right? Blue Lotus had an incredible following built over a short time, far surpassing whatever he'd accumulated in his own mind. She was flirted with, asked out, approached aggressively and so-on, so her surprise here and now was completely unheard of. Maybe it was only the ugly ones who built up the nerve to approach her, leaving Ozzy as the only handsome moron doing the same? Yes, that seemed more sensible when considering her reaction.
How strange─ they were two likeminded individuals, neither believing this meeting could be possible in the real world... and yet, it was about as real as anything could be. A basket of chips was on the counter next to them, and Ozzy was reaching out to claim it; this was real. He really was guiding her by the hand, to the table most perfectly shaded while still offering a lovely sunlit view of the world around them. His heartbeat really was a few paces to fast, as it had been since he reached their convention booth, and even before doing so. And, of course, he really was compelled to chivalry by pulling out Nikki's chair. "You're not madferit. You're normal Nikki from Manchester, right? Let's have us a bang-up time, come to terms with the coma I'm definitely in, and all that good stuff~. Or should I pinch you? I can do that too, if you like~"
"No, I'm really not, mate. Really... I believe you though. I do have evidence to support your claims, you're still unreal," how did one explain how absolutely outrageous this whole situation was? He was really into her? He was gorgeous and he was seemingly more excited about her being a real person, than she was wondering about his existence as a real person. Moments like this didn't happen in real life right? But here he was, leading her by the hand towards a table, which had a nice little ambiance about it. He was pulling out her chair, he had a basket of chips for them to split. Everything about this was surprising. Yes, they were both alike when having the idea that this couldn't really be happening.
"Blimey, at this point it is less likely you're in a coma and more likely I'm dreaming..." she said as she took her seat. "Great looking guy, only interested in video games, archaeology, fashion and me, is my biggest fan... supportive of my dreams even before I noticed, charming... really great looking, did I mention that? Doesn't even notice anyone else paying attention to him, seems like I'm the center of his world?" she asked looking at him most quizzically. "It seems about guaranteed I made you up. I remember making a list like that when I was young, with my mates... you know the kind of guy you want to marry. But things like that are just dreams right? Those sorts of people don't actually exist, so really, this is just as shocking for me as it is for you, Ozzy from Blackpool..." she said. A lot of guys asked her out. Not all of them were hideous or anything, but most weren't all things she was looking for. It was as if the universe had plucked this man from her dreams and made him real and then set her up to run into him. And that was about as outlandish as one thing could be. "Still I'm not sure about that pinch. Might ask later. If I'm actually dreaming I'd be mad not to enjoy it first."
"That's the crazy part! I've barely even said a thing as of yet. Seriously, you should see my internet history; I've been hoping for..." Oh, perhaps honesty and saying too much were not necessarily one and the same. Midway through his next admission, Ozzy decided to... tactfully shut his stupid mouth before saying something far too outrageous for a first meeting with anyone. "Right, not important. Anyway, that all pretty much sums me up. How'd you know I was into archaeology? Rare that I even open my mouth about that," he said to alter the subject as quickly as possible. Truthfully enough, Ozzy wasn't totally verbal about his interests outside of games, fashion and Blue Lotus. He did like a fair number of archaeological tweets here and there, and even follow a few accounts related to them, but that was about it outside of university. "You did mention, by the way. Glad you think I'm charming and good-looking and all, but if I think too much about you saying that, I might go mental."
Talking about going mental, the description Nikki had for him was about as ridiculous a claim as things could get. Thus far, it seemed she was claiming him to be as close to perfect as he viewed her. The way she said it, as well... did he hear that properly? Well, that was certainly something worth poking at while he seated himself, reaching into the basket for the first of many chips. "Easy now. I do exist, but you're already talking about marriage material? I think it might be a good idea to make a pit stop at snogging first, and I thought that was supposed to be a skip. You really are havin' a go," he joked just after ripping that first slice of incredibly-seasoned potato in half with his chompers.
Oh? She should see his internet history? Hm, she wondered what a man's internet history looked like... well not really. But based on their topics of conversation there were always more than a few ideas floating around. Strangely, he was rather quick to change the subject, and Nikki couldn't help but laugh about it. Oh, how did she know about his interest in archaeology? Well, she supposed it was now her turn to look a bit like a stalker. "I might have been coming to the end of my deep dive into your social media presence when you crept up on me earlier..." she said with the grace to look embarrassed. "In my defense, I was a bit curious and I'm a girl so I went a little mental when I started looking. I had to be prepared for anything..." she said knowing that it was only partially an excuse. Of course, there was also the fact that eventually she'd just become interested and after figuring out that she didn't dislike anything she'd seen, she went looking for the catch, she still hadn't found it yet.
Aww, he even managed to seem a bit surprised by what she had to say about him. By his own words, he did notice compliments, but only paid special attention when they came from her? He was becoming more perfect by the second. What was wrong? What was missing? "Oops, well... blimey, I go from having a stalker to sounding like I've Stockholm syndrome..." she tilted her head left and reached for a chip, she'd stuff her face and forget for at least a few seconds that she was beyond embarrassed. "Woah, these are brilliant..." she said after her first bite. The next one would be dipped in ketchup, but she always liked to try things first. These really might have been the best chips in London. She would definitely be taking note of this place for a couple of other meals while she was in the city. As for the snogging, she was beginning to wonder when that would actually pop up. She wasn't at all against it as an idea... and after looking though his catalogue of thirst trap pictures she was almost certain he wasn't lacking in any department. That is what made the situation so very shocking. "Oh please, I'm not having a go... also I only postponed the snogging and skipped on the slapping. There's an order to respect and all~" she teased in return. Yep, she was still flirting with this man, but now she was eating and chatting. Oh, and sitting across from him stealing glances at those golden eyes of his. This was madness and she was going to fall right into it, without question.
There was a reason Nikki knew of his less obvious interest, and it was directly connected to what she'd been doing when they met earlier this day. She hadn't simply been looking at his pictures─ she went through much more information than that. Her reason for doing so was incredibly sound; he couldn't fault her for it at all. "That's proper careful of you. Careful who you work with, and all that. Makes sense of how I managed to not run you off with that terrible intro." Another chip, another extensive glance in Nikki's direction, and an ear constantly opened. These were constants while he sat at this small table, across from Nikki herself. Until recently, there was hardly a thing he offered so much of his attention to outside of her videos and updates. Now, though, he had the real thing sitting right in front of him. Incredible!
Apparently, Nikki thought she'd gone from being staled to having Stockholm's Syndrome. If he was the one involved, Ozzy didn't think such a thing was negative at all. Actually, it was an absolute win for him! "Oi, you telling me I Stockholmed you? Lucky me~" he said, only to hesitate in the very next moment. "I should probably say outright, that I'm not trying to force myself on you in any way. Well... not in any physical way. Well... not like that, you know?" His spirits seemed to be rather high as he crunched one chip after another, some with ketchup, some without. Nikki seemed to enjoy them as well, which was good. "Aren't they? I came here first day, and I swore this place existed just to fat me. Anyway, if there's an order, I need informing. I'm not about to lie and say I have any idea what I'm doing; I'm going mad just thinking we're sitting at the same table!"
Apparently, Ozzy didn't take personal offense to her deep dive into his internet life. A chuckle escaped the lass at that, it was such an uncommon reaction. He really didn't get it, he was the nice guy, 'nice guys' claimed they were being. "Ah, well... I am not super easy to run off anyways. But mostly it wasn't even about the work part. I found out how much you appeared on my YouTube and then with the analytics noticed that we'd never interacted. We are on this panel together, so I was mostly trying not to be potentially blind-sided. Then I started peeking around and noted some of our shared interests so, I got curious. And down the proverbial rabbit hole I went," she explained of her early search and her lack of distrust at their initial meeting. Though she had been a bit shocked that she'd been caught she was definitely harboring a small bit of curiosity as it stood. "Oh, and your intro was great. Very different from the norm... and pretty spot on considering you're actually a huge fan," she said with a smile. All the while she ate more chips and found herself stealing a glance or two. This man really was gorgeous. She could sit across from him all day.
He seemed really excited by the idea that she might like him back. It was kind of adorable really. It was a bit surprising still that a man this gorgeous was interested in her specifically. It was also pretty sweet that he was going out of his way to not sound like a total creeper the entire time, even realizing how badly somethings could be taken, whether she saw them that way herself or not. "Teheahahahaha~ It's fine Ozzy. I definitely wouldn't have agreed to tea if you came off as a proper creeper. Besides I am considering myself pretty lucky today~" she mused. Had another few chips and heard out this man about this shop and how great the chips were. "Hm, if this place is how I get fatted, I don't think I'd mind too much," she started. At this point, he was admitting he was just happy to be in her presence. Like a kid at Christmas, and he just got to meet real Santa. "Blimey, you're doing wonders for my self-esteem. I'll keep track of the order of things, it's only fair~" she teased gently. Oh this man was going to be the death of her... his level of infatuation was infectious.
"Yeah, that's pretty obvious. I remember that one sponsor you had, what was it... that pick-me-up drink company? Those lot were kinda sus, but you always seem pretty good about seeing just past the surface everybody else is looking at. Probably why you're such a great designer, innit?" Ozzy nearly went on a bit of a tangent when he started addressing factoids about Nikoleta. Luckily, he managed to once again shut up before talking too much. He wished he could have done the same when introducing himself, but according to Nikki, his introduction was fine, even unique. Of course, there was also the brief mention of their shared interests, which he knew fashion to be one of, but... there was always the wonder. "I wonder if the list goes on," he mused at random.
Lucky for him, Nikki believing he was a creep would have been a deterrent to her joining him on this little outing. She even referred to herself as 'lucky' today, for whatever reason. Did that have something to do with him? He could, and would, certainly hope so. "You're lucky? Come off it; I can't hear a thing about anybody else's luck today. I've hit one jackpot after another since having a wash, and I've not had a proper breakfast until just now." They would agree that a bit of gained weight from chips like these would be nothing to rage over. Ozzy himself could put on several kilos without a single complaint, so long as he could keep eating at this place. "You can say that twice. I heard the burgers are great here too! Fancy coming along to try a pair later? I mean, we've got a whole week being here in London. If you wouldn't mind, we both know I'm all for it. One more excuse to sit across from you for twenty minutes~"
Ozzy was full of random information, a great deal of it about Nikki's career. What was this, he was referencing her dealings with a kind of sketchy drink company? Her eyes widened and she paused right after finishing a chip. "Whoa?! People actually remember that... it was so long ago..." she said seemingly shocked. She knew the lad was on board all the way back at the beginning of her watchlist but most of her own fans wouldn't have remembered that event. "I still have boxes of that stuff shipped to me on an off. It was pretty good though. Got me through finals at the time~" she mused finding that whole thing so surreal. As for seeing past such an initial thing and making a deal being one of the things to make her a good designer she found herself being bashful. "Oh? Well... I think I'm pretty decent. Not taking everything at face value is pretty reasonable. You can't develop your eye or even your own style brushing over things," she said seeming to feel pretty firmly about it. "At least that's how I think about it," she mentioned. She wondered how much effort this man put in to look at her work that he knew about something so random as a drink deal. Whatever the case, there was also their shared interests. "Oh, yeah... I am also into archaeology, mostly from a standpoint of ancient design but still it's part of my favorite things to look at. And video games. Though I am pretty sure I'd be bloody boring to watch in a stream or something like that I do actually enjoy playing anything with creative options, building character, houses, that sort of thing... my Sims Custom Content folder is ridiculous," she said of her own personal interests.
Apparently she wasn't believed when she mentioned being lucky. She supposed it'd be a bit harder to understand from a girl's perspective, but this whole meeting could have been much more uncomfortable and it could have ruined her whole week. Right just now, she was feeling pretty hopeful for future encounters between them and felt pretty comfortable with the idea of him being her number one fan. "I don't know, I've been just as lucky since my video went live, it's pretty fair. Met my number one fan, he isn't a psycho... and he bought me breakfast. I was running late today... almost missed the car," she mentioned. She'd been editing her video to make sure it would go live on-time. Such activities were always draining and rewarding at once. As they talked and ate, Ozzy claimed this place seemed to have good burgers and asked if she wanted along some other time to try them. A grin spread across her face in this moment, his words were utterly flattering. "Oh? Well, I wouldn't mind having another bite. I do enjoy your company... but you're quite right. We've got a whole week here, you're sure after spending multiple full work days sitting side by side you're not gonna drain your social battery with overexposure?" she teased him gently. Knowing how excited he'd been to meet her, she almost couldn't question his desire to spend time with her, and that was refreshing.
