Zanpakutō
Baitsuisou (倍追走, Double Chase): Kohaku's Zanpakutou is a wakizashi worn on his lower-left back. It is without a guard, and has a blue gem at the pommel of a silver handle.
Shikai: Its release command is
Utte (討っ手, Pursue). Kohaku releases his Zanpakutou by slamming it into his sheath. The Shikai's form is that of a large, double sheath the size of a rocket launcher. Two sword handles of a strange, rectangular design are connected to the sheath, but no blades are attached.
- Shikai Special Ability: On either side of Baitsuisou's sheath are two blade slots. By bringing either of his handles to any of these slots, Kohaku is able to produce blades to complete the swords by converting his Reiryoku into solid matter. These blades have an appearance more similar to that of a box-cutter than a proper sword, granting them additional aerodynamics beyond that of other weapons. The created blades may be detached from their handles, and will remain in their physical form unless Kohaku returns them to the sheath to store additional energy for later use.
- Baitsuisou: Yogarasu (倍追走 夜烏, Double Chase: Night Crow): After discarding any number of blades, Kohaku transforms them into crows that are manipulated telekinetically through gestures performed by his handles. In addition to adding range to his arsenal, Kohaku seems to favor use of this ability, as it affords him the ability to approach a target stealthily in the night.
