Shodouinka (書道印顆, Calligraphy Seal): Takumi wields his Zanpakutou as a tantou with a black handle and no guard.
Shikai: Its release command is
Uppunharashite (鬱憤晴らして, Vent Your Anger). Shodouinka's release is unique among most Shikai, in that it uses both sword and sheath. Upon release, the tantou becomes a calligraphy brush, while the sheath becomes a scroll. The brush seems to produce ink by using Takumi's Reiryoku, and the scroll's maximum length appears to be reliant on this as well.
- Shikai Special Ability: Its ability is called Chōjū Giga (超獣偽画, Super Beast Imitating Drawing). It is a technique that allows Takumi to animate ink drawings placed on Shodouinka's scroll by its brush. The moment the brush is removed from the scroll, the images leap from the paper, grow to life-size, and act according to Takumi's will. Because they are made of ink, a single blow of reasonable strength is usually enough to dispel them. For discreet communiques while undercover, Takumi is able to turn the words he writes into small animals, allowing them to travel unnoticed to the intended target, after which the ink animal reverts back into written information. Few techniques rival it in terms of versatility.
