Appearance:Rainn appears to be a young man with short dark brown hair and eyes of the same color. His most characteristic features are his defined cheekbones and sinister look. He wears a black leather jacket on top of a white tshirt. He wears black jeans and running shoes of the same color. When Rainn is in his spectral form his hair becomes white, his sclera black and his irises yellow.
Personality:It is unknown what sort of child Rainn was, but what is known is that he was raised by the Organization after being recognized as a potential asset. The lack of parental figures around him, created turmoil, anger, and apathy in his mind. He was trained to be loyal, but also a ruthless assassin and an unstoppable force. Though he was brutally and continually punished by his trainers, Rainn submitted willingly to their teaching methods, essentially because he knew nothing else, and this instilled in him the belief that whatever did not kill him would make him stronger. This state of mind stuck with him even after he abandoned the Organization.
Biography:Rainn was raised by the Organization to become one of their assassins. When he was in his teen years, he was granted an upgraded version of Freya Spinnet’s powers. As he matured, the possession of his powers changed his ideals. He decided that his subjugation was nothing but a strain on him and so he betrayed the Organization. After killing everybody that was responsible from training him or giving him his powers, he deleted the research filed regarding Freya’s powers and fled.
Special Ability: Stabilized Molecular Duality
Rainn was enhanced by the Organization with an upgraded set of Freya’s powers. He can transform between his human and spectral forms at will. Once transformed, he can use all his spectral powers. He can switch back to human form, and can still access some of his powers like weak energy rays and intangibility.
- Ectoplasm Manipulation: Rainn can create, shape and manipulate spectral energy called ectoplasm, a variable-state form of matter-energy coming from planes beyond the physical. Its form can range from raw seething energy, a misty vapor, a viscous gelatin, a bundle of fine threads, a living membrane or a fine, fabric-like tissue, that can also be solidified and used for material purposes. He has been shown to use this ability in a variety of ways. He can fire blue blasts of ectoplasm energy from his hands or fingertips. These blasts often explode on contact. In a similar fashion he can send out pulses of energy in all directions from his body to repel large groups of attackers. He can also create constructs made out of solid ectoplasm energy in a variety of forms, like shields made of solid ectoplasm energy that can nullify or even reflect attacks.
Duplication: Rainn can create duplicates of himself made from ectoplasm energy. These duplicates seemingly have his powers and can fight alongside him, but they are considerably weaker compared to the original.- Flight: Gravity doesn’t affect Rainn’s spectral body, so he can fly through air and space at considerable speeds and heights, and walk on vertical surfaces. While flying, his legs often become an apparition or a whispy tail.
- Intangibility: Rainn can turn his body intangible to pass through walls or other solid matter. This power was the hardest for Rainn to control at first, often activating at inconvenient times though he eventually mastered it. Like Freya, he can choose whether to become solid or intangible, which allows him to quickly evade attacks and counterattack in tandem. He can additionally phase a certain part of his body while still retaining objects, or phase other people along with him.
- Invisibility: Rainn can make his body invisible.
- Self-Augmentation: Rainn can use his ectoplasm energy to increase his body’s physical strength.
- Spectral Body Manipulation: Rainn can bend, twist, split, and otherwise contort his spectral body beyond the limits of normal human physiology.
- Superhuman Agility: In his spectral form, Rainn’s agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond those of a normal human being. He can effectively dodge attacks, swing from things easily, and perform acrobatic feats such as backflips.
- Superhuman Durability: While human, Rainn can withstand many hits and blows that would cause injury to any normal person. In his spectral form, however, his body is incredibly resistant to damage, and he has demonstrated a high threshold for pain.
- Superhuman Reflexes: In spectral form, Rainn has dramatically enhanced reflexes, being able to dodge attacks with ease. He is fast enough to be able to catch an arrow in midair with his bare hands.
- Superhuman Stamina: While human, Rainn has the same level of stamina as a normal person, but in spectral form, he can exert himself at peak capacity for hours before fatigue begins to impair him.
- Superhuman Strength: Gravity doesn’t affect Rainn’s spectral body, so he can lift heavy objects and perform difficult tasks with ease. In spectral form, he is shown to be strong enough to rip through reinforced titanium.
