Biography:
Born Lothaire Phantomhive, he was raised alone in Castlevania by his mother, Rachel Phantomhive. His mother was a vampire sired in a previous life by the infamous Count Dracula, hence their residency. Even being born a vampire, Lothaire was raised as a Christian child. As such, he differs from typical vampires who've abandoned God. He also lacks a connection to Hell that was a mark of Dracula's incredible power over vampires, but the simple fact of being in Dracula's bloodline allows him Dracula's Power of Dominance, putting him head and shoulders above others of his kind. He has never had reason to fear another vampire, but much reason to dislike the tales of the father he'd never known. He'd been made to understand the ability Dracula had to reincarnate through a connection to his castle, and through study, discovered that the castle remained so long as Dracula's blood did. He has been torn on the matter of his own existence since. Now, he awaits the return of Dracula as prophecy among vampires dictates.

Powers & Abilities:
The Power of Dominance: Sorin's primary and most powerful ability as a vampire stems from Dracula's special power. The Power of Dominance is the Dark Lord's ability to absorb and control the souls of creatures that he kills, and Sorin is able to channel this through his bite. The Soul Steal ability (an advanced use of the Power of Dominance) is very closely related to this, except that it involves killing the victim by stealing its soul (instead of stealing its soul after killing it), and the captured souls are immediately consumed for healing purposes, rather than being retained so that the bearer may call upon their power.
Immense Curse Power: As a vampire of the Dracul bloodline, Sorin boasts incredible quantities of the power which fuels his kind. Already having a large amount by his own right, the Power of Dominance has given him even greater reserves over time. He is capable of using his unholy spirit to face off against the mightiest of holy tools and weapons. It has even been said that he may be capable of surviving encounters with the Arma Christi.
