Kubikiri Orochi (馘大蛇, Beheading Serpent): Ryohei's Zanpakutō is a standard katana, though its tsuba (decorated sword guard) is decorated in small diamonds.
Shikai: Its Shikai command is
Buttegire (ぶっ手切れ, Chop Cleanly). Ryohei's katana becomes a large cleaver with a blade that extends over its handle. Parallel rows of diamond shapes previously seen in the Zanpakutou's tsuba can now be seen along the blade's length.
- Shikai Special Ability: Kubikiri Orochi is among the "truest" blades in the 11th Division (as stated by Ryohei) due to its Shikai's special trait, this being its ability to reform itself using the iron harvested from the blood of its victims. This regenerative process takes place almost instantaneously and is capable of bringing the weapon back to its original condition no matter how severe the damage is, from a simple chip or nick to a complete separation of over half the blade.
- Korikatamaru Kubikiri Orochi (凝り固まる馘大蛇, Coagulate Beheading Serpent): The first technique of Kubikiri Orochi allows Ryohei to convert its healing abilities to himself. By making his blade more brittle, he transfers the iron into his blood stream to increase blood production and oxygen transference to insane levels. In doing this, Ryohei's blood clots exponentially faster than normal, and his stamina is raised indefinitely so long as he has iron to take from his sword (making the usefulness of this ability limited if Ryohei is unable to rely on his ability to absorb iron from an opponent's blood).
