Combat Style: Being among the fastest individuals in the Seireitei, Terumi employs his superior mobility in combat. He often relies on a combination of Hakuda and Zanjutsu, both of which he shows great aptitude in. While he does not show any signs of Kidou mastery in combat, he has been seen using high-level spells multiple times in a single battle, without tiring.
Zanpakutō
Jasō (蛇双, Snake Pair): Jasō is a rare dual-sword Zanpakutou, as its sealed form is a pair of twin wakizashi. Both swords have green hilts and silver guards in rectangular shapes.
Shikai: Its release command is
Kamikorosu (噛み殺す, Bite to Death). To release Shikai, Terumi spins both swords by the handle. As they spin, the swords shrink to form a pair of curved butterfly knives with double-edged blades.
- Shikai Special Ability: Jasō's blades have the ability to expand its blades' area of effect in bursts. As a blade enters and leaves the grooves within its handles, cutting waves are released instantaneously in a direction relative to the blades' placement. The size and velocity of these waves is determined by the amount of friction against the blades, though the sharpness is always enough to cut through almost anything.
Bankai: The true name of Terumi's Zanpakutou is
Kibao no Muchi (牙尾の鞭, Fang-Tailed Whip Serpent). Terumi's Bankai is a black snake head attached to a chain whose length extends by Terumi's will and Reiryoku. At the end of the chain is a blade that seems to be an ornate and enlarged version of his Shikai's weapons.
- Bankai Special Ability: The ability of Kibao no Muchi's Shikai now takes effect within the weapon itself. By gaining velocity, the snake head and tail blade can rip through space, seeming to disconnect from the chain, only to reappear with the chain still attached in another location. Terumi uses this ability of his Bankai to perform surprise attacks at incredible range, as well as bypass barriers and the like. So long as he knows where his target is, his Bankai can reach them.
