Appearance: Cade is a slim, average height man. His appearance is mainly inspired by punk rock culture. His clothing consists a black spiked leather mask with LED visor, a spiked vest, a black hoodie, ripped denim jeans, a red spiked bracelet, black strapped bracelets, and black sneakers. Cade’s mask and mechanical goggles appear to be able to various eye expressions when he wants, and the mask features a voice modulator that gives his voice a more robotic tone. The goggles appear to be made of many small, square-shaped bulbs. Other than that the built-in heads-up display of the mask shows important things for him. The HUD can scan people, make identifications, make calls and provide navigational support. He also has a series of tattoos on his arms, his back and various other places on his body. Although rarely, when Cade is deprived of his mask it is possible to see his facial features. He has a large, prominent burn scar around his left eye with blue eyes and light blond hair.
Cade has a wild and humorous personality, as seen once when he was trying to get a chip from a toaster; instead of properly taking it apart he smashed it with a sledgehammer instead. However, he appears to also more aggressive. His aggression extends to his strategic thinking. He has an affinity for spikes or a punk aesthetic, as seen by his choice in clothing. Some people say they actually have seen him without the mask but he prefers to deny it. When the FBI developed a psychological profile of him, they determined him to have a troubled, possibly traumatic childhood. As such, he is socially awkward around women, has trouble conveying his emotions, and wears his trademark mask as a billboard to show how he feels. Cade himself mentions that he wears his mask to dodge facial recognition, but actually has a deeper reason for it like hiding from a dangerous past. Additionally he can be very crude as he openly admits that he likes swearing.
Biography: When he was 11 years old, Cade came downstairs to find his father abusing his mother, drunk and demanding respect. Noticing him, his father took Cade in front of his mother and forced him to watch as he murdered her. His father was shortly sent to prison, causing Cade to be sent to an orphanage as none of his relatives wanted to take him in. Being scarred for life, Cade grew up to be a timepiece restorer who always desired to be special instead of ordinary. One of his customers, a renowned scientist, identified him as “Patient Zero” in his research of humans with abilities and revealed the existence of other evolved humans to him. Discovering his ability of intuitive aptitude with his help, Cade realized he could figure out how abilities worked and how to gain more. He eventually became a serial killer, targeting other evolved humans to gain their abilities.
Special Ability: Intuitive Aptitude
Cade’s innate ability is the power to determine exactly how things work. Cade used this innate ability to discover how to take the abilities of other evolved humans. He determined that the abilities are based in the brain, and several of his victims have had their skulls opened and brains removed. By studying his victims’ brains he is able to determine how their powers work and replicate those abilities himself. Though he can obtain the abilities of other people without killing them as well.
- Adoptive Muscle Memory: Cade is capable of copying movements all after seeing the actions performed once, like carving a tomato into a rose after seeing the action performed by a cooking show host or knocking back a target with an advanced martial arts move after watching Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. He is able to access any of the movements he has copied at any time he wants, and has been shown to access them both instinctively (often without realizing it) and with perfect recall and execution each time. His ability requires that he actually sees the action performed, though not necessarily in person. He is then able to use the movement with or without active concentration.
- Aquatic Breathing: Cade is capable of breathing underwater for an indefinite period of time. He often uses this ability to swim without pausing for breaths. While breathing underwater, Cade can extract enough extra oxygen to sustain another person via mouth to mouth transfer for an unspecified period of time.
- Clairvoyance: Cade can gain a direct visual information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than his physical sight. Cade can see visions of people by thinking about them. He can also see glimpses of what that person is doing. He could locate people by concentrating on them and then indicate the person’s location on a map. He is able to pinpoint his target to a specific room in an apartment building. However, he apparently needs to know something about a person before he can locate them, like a picture. The manner in which Cade uses his clairvoyant powers to locate someone suggests that he actually has an “out-of-body experience” while using his powers, although he is able to maintain consciousness in two places at once.
- Danger Sensing: Cade possesses an extrasensory danger sense which warns him of potential immediate danger by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of his skull, and links with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him to evade injuries, unless he cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes. The precise nature of this sense is unknown, though it appears to be a simultaneous clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena. The sense also can create a general response on the order of several minutes: he cannot discern the nature of the threat by the sensation. He can, however, discern the severity of the danger by the strength of his response to it. His danger sense is directional and can guide him to or away from hidden weapons and enemies. Sudden and extreme threats can cause his danger sense to react with painful intensity.
- Electrokinesis: Cade can generate and manipulate electricity without external sources. Cade has extensive control over his ability. He is able to adjust the strength and power of the electricity he generates, such as creating a small spark which causes a minor electric shock, a medium-level bolt which stuns or produces concussive force and a powerful surge which can kill. He does not need to use his hands to use his ability, as seen when he used his whole body to generate electricity. It has been implied that Cade can manipulate existing sources of electricity, causing a major blackout or the lights to fade out. In addition to the aforementioned phenomena, Cade can also create ball lightning. After creating it, he can immediately release it, charge it for more powerful bursts, or simply use it to intimidate. He can also fire blasts of sheet lightning and ribbon lightning in battle. He is able to hone his finesse for sharpshooting, firing small pinpoint but powerful lightning bolts that can shatter glass and cause objects to catch fire.
- Empathy: Cade can sense and experience a person’s emotions and feelings through mere touch. He is also able to manipulate emotions to some degree using his touch. For example, he can make a sad person happy, or calm down an angry one. Cade seems to be able to gather basic information about a person’s wants and desires through touch. He uses this to understand powers without having to cut his target’s head open.
- Flight: Cade is able to manipulate his own gravitational field to generate thrust and propel himself through the air, often at hyper-sonic speeds, much faster than he can travel by foot. As such, he is able to levitate and fly past Earth’s atmosphere and near the planet’s orbit.
- Imprinting: Cade can mentally imprint or write marks onto surfaces like paper. He demonstrated this ability several times, using it to sign a pile of unsigned contracts. When he uses this ability, his hands glow golden, and what he is imprinting also glows golden before turning dark blue. After using this ability, the imprints look as if they were written in ink.
- Magnetokinesis: Cade is capable of generating and manipulating all forms of magnetism to achieve a variety of grandiose and devastating effects. At a low level, he can effortlessly launch pieces of metal like bullets, alter projectile trajectories of bullets, and even manipulate the standard mechanics of tool. For grander feats, he can easily lift, immobilizing, and crumble giant structures like. His precision with this power also allows him to launch countless projectiles in rapid succession and maintain the structural integrity of his targets. He is able to sense the presence of metals, as they are crucial for the effective use of his powers. Additionally, Cade is able to conjure a vast shield of magnetic energy.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: This ability allows Cade to heal at an extraordinary rate and allows him to heal from any serious injuries such as large cuts, broken bones, gunshot, explosions, radiation, nervous system damage, etc. This ability also allows him to regrow any removed body parts, such as organs, limbs, teeth, etc. Though Cade still feels the pain as it happens just like a normal person would, he can get over it faster. Additionally Cade can never get sick or age. He is also able to use his blood to heal others.
- Superhuman Durability: Cade’s skin, muscle, and bone tissue have many times the density of the same tissue in the body of a human being and is nigh-invulnerable.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Cade can react and dodge objects traveling at high speeds.
- Superhuman Speed: Cade can move at great superhuman speeds. When he runs he usually appears as a blur.
- Superhuman Stamina: Cade’s advanced musculature is considerably more efficient than that of a human. As a result, his muscles produce practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity compared to those of humans and most other members of his race. His virtually inexhaustible stamina enables him to exert himself at peak capacity for an undefined period of time without tiring at all.
- Superhuman Strength: Cade has considerable superhuman strength. Although he is relatively untrained, his strength alone is sufficient enough to catch a 1.4-ton car that was moving at 40 miles an hour when it was just inches away from hitting a bus.
- Technopathy: Cade has the ability to control and manipulate electronics with his mind. His power of technopathy seems to work with or without contact with electronics. He has been able to access the technology of broken items as well as working items. He describes this power as talking to machines. He can identify even the slightest signals in technology and can use the electronics around him for tracking purposes. He can use this abilitiy in a variety of ways: from manipulating traffic signals to hacking complex systems. Cade seems to have developed enough control over this ability to control systems at short range, but he needs a communication device to affect more distant systems, for which he uses his LED visor.
- Telekinesis: Cade is able to move and otherwise manipulate objects to his whim to an immense degree, employing this power offensively and defensively. He has demonstrated far too advanced telekinetic abilities than its original possessor. His precision with his power is enough to allow him to cleanly slice apart huge objects hurled at him or to sculpt sharpened spikes out of debris. He can exert enough telekinetic force to flip a truck through the air or tear sheet metal, and he has enough control to cut off the top of a person’s skull to expose the brain. Cade has repeatedly been shown using telekinesis to shield himself from bullets, as well as to augment his own physical strength. Cade is able to use this power with relatively little concentration. He typically uses hand gestures in conjunction with telekinetic feats, although he can use this ability without them. Presumably they somehow help him to direct the power. He is able to free himself when he is unable to move, although it takes intense concentration to do so. Cade can simultaneously manipulate dozens of objects at once, having been shown to use swarms of locker doors, glass bottles, and glass shards as projectile weapons. Cade has also shown that he can levitate himself telekinetically to an extent.
