And there it was, the Holy Father planned to preserve what Charles should have been through himself. And just like that... several new questions popped up in the mind of Ivy and maybe some of the others would realize the potential problems of this. She'd always told Charles he was a bit too trusting of this entire situation, but she wouldn't be the one to say I told you so when this was obviously going so badly. If she was being honest, she was somewhat relieved the bride hadn't had to experience some serious trauma associated with this entire situation. Just the same Charles had moved of his own accord as Ivy arrived, this was for the best. Perhaps he thought she'd try to assassinate him, perhaps he felt his own mana draining rapidly, whatever the case, it was good that he and the Holy Father were physically separated.

Her words to Charles had been heard and he lunged at her, his leg collapsing in a strange way. The use of Ivy's unique set of skills gave her the only real option she could run with. All of the knights were armed except two and most were drawn on Charles even now. But it would be that sword of Ivy that whipped up and separated into long mana enhanced segments. They separated and snaked whipping up wild winds which would spread with immense force. They were backed by the strange power she possessed and kicked up enough concussive wind to send Charles flying back, slicing into chest deep enough to seem real. It was precisely enough that he, Anais and strangely Astolfo would be the ones caught up in the breeze and ejected from a hole created in the side of the building by the movements of her sword and the combined wind. In most cases, many would see it as an accident, an overestimation of the amount of power that Ivy put in. But in truth, she'd made a snap decision, that Charles would need help so she sent their healer and someone who could protect him potentially out of the hole with the gust as well. Anais would be shouting as she fell but, it wasn't as if she wasn't used to Ivy doing such a thing to her. If it worked out those three alone would be blown out of the hole as Ivy's sword shrank back into its normal size.
