R.E.A.D. System

R.E.A.D. is the system which calculates the levels of individual Storm Riders and teams based on statistics and information recorded by the data chips in their A.T.s. This system records information which relates directly to the type of races the riders have participated in and the types of tricks they can perform. But the usage of these skills and gauges only directly applies to Standard Class Races. These criteria are all unusually high for those who participate in Advanced Races (B-Class or higher)

Speed - This records the maximum speed reached by any individual rider over the course of their ownership of a pair of A.T.s. This statistic is related to the F-Class race type Dash.

Turn - This records data about the turning radius of an individual rider including how it changes over time. It is the most basic measurement of maneuverability. This statistic is related to the E-class race type Hurdles.

Grind - This records the amount of time the wheels of an A.T. spend against a surface while balancing. Grinding is a pinnacle movement ability, as it requires body strength as well as suitable gear. Grind is the statistic associated with the D-class race type Cube.

Height - This records the maximum vertical distance a person has travelled from a level starting position. Though it is sometimes affected by speed, since it is measured over time and charted on a line graph it shows development. It is the basic statistic associated with the C-class race type Air.

In addition to these statistics there are a few others which are used to contribute to an individual rider's R.E.A.D Level. These statistics are measured variants of the original ones over time… meaning they gauge the use of skills people have over all, instead of just one individual instance of said statistic.

Air Time - Measures the over all time in hours of time spent without the wheels of the A.T.s touching the ground. (The advancement of the Height statistic).

Ground Time - Measures the over all distance travelled by the A.T.s while the wheels are constantly in contact with a level surface. (The advancement of the Grind statistic).

Maximum Velocity - Measures how long it takes the rider to go from non-movement to their maximum speed. ( The advancement of the Speed statistic).

Maneuverable Torque - Measures the rotation of a rider's body while on their A.T.s, to put it simply the overall ability a rider has to change their direction in a single moment. (The advancement of the Turn statistic).

R.E.A.D. Post Template

On your character profile under your main profile you must post your present R.E.A.D. Layout linked in to highlight your present R.E.A.D. Level. Note that if your R.E.A.D. Level and R.E.A.D. Layout don't match up in a sensible way with the rest of your character... it will be revised until it makes sense.
