Attire: Rin's attire is one that will actually vary from day to day. She prefers a pretty feminine attire overall though and most frequently can be seen wearing her trademark leather boots that reach her knees. As far as coloring for outfits she?s pretty partial towards pink or violet colors though she has been seen to deviate from that at time to time.
Misc: After an encounter with the previous Segunda Espada, Paz, Rin's left eye has been hazy in appearance with blindness, so she would often cover it up with an eyepatch or her hair (though she is considering getting that fixed). Her left calf also has a scar from that same encounter in the form of a wolf branding. Oftentimes she will keep this covered by her boots though it can easily be visible when her legs are bare.
Personality
Carefree at heart, Rin enjoys having fun in her life, trying to not let much get her down or be taken too seriously. That's not to say that she won't get serious if need be though, she just hates sadness. She enjoys learning new things and during her free time can usually be seen either reading or tinkering with some poor object that's never exactly the same after she's done. She isn't afraid to voice her opinions on things either, though she does tend to be an optimist. In battle she will use her curiosity to her advantage to observe her opponent for either their weakness or something that she can use to give the upper hand. Overall though Rin exudes a pretty cheerful demeanor that sets her apart from most Vizards.
Powers & Abilities
Hakuda Master: Rin's skills are great enough to force some of the greatest melee fighters at their peak to fight seriously during combat. She has proven to be quite aggressive as well as highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat. She demonstrates her skill and agility in this area by launching devastating attacks without laying a finger on her Zanpakutō. Facing armed opponents is no problem whatsoever for her, as her skills make her every limb a lethal weapon by itself.
Genius Intellect: Arguably, the most fearsome trait of Rin is her tremendous intellect. She is well-versed in the history and proceedings of the world and is privy to knowledge unknown to many, such as secret methods. She easily grabs the concepts of subjects completely new to her and masters them quickly. Even in the most complex and dangerous of situations Rin can rely on her calculating intellect to figure out the best course of action. Her assessment of a situation is swift, ad-hoc and accurate, allowing her to deduce the nature of other people?s abilities and countering them, often only requiring a few instances of observation.
Gifted Manipulator: Rin has shown herself to be a cunning woman. She is able to deceive and manipulate others around her in different ways for a variety of purposes. She has a talent for analyzing and observing people in her presence, allowing her to understand a person's pattern of thinking and better manipulate them. Her plans for others often include gentle hints, true or false, to get people to do what he wants. She is also a good provocateur, very adept at finding people?s mental weak spots and then provoking them with petty discussions and word plays. Despite this she is capable to hide her true demeanor, hiding the truth about her from other people.
Keen Strategist: Her skill at battle tactics is profound, as leading officer she regularly sends the troops to engage in battle, be it smaller or larger threats.
Keen Tactician: She has shown herself to be a flexible tactician, capable of adjusting difficult combat situation, if not planning out steps well in advance. She understands the strengths, weaknesses and mannerisms of her enemies, and creates strategies to achieve victory; this includes preparing traps or leading her enemies along battle plans. Like this she can prepare victory in advance and even exploit her enemies? weaknesses for her grand scheme. Regardless of her own powers or those of others, she always remains vigilant.
Keen Scientist: Rin is a gifted inventor and scientist, having created a number of clever devices and techniques to aid her in battle or otherwise. Her intellect in this field is evident, as she is able to create and invent devices on her own and further sophisticated research. She is an asset to any development bureau as her work can help accomplish the developmental goals. She knows chemistry, being able to work with chemical formulas and combined them to make new ones. She can also repair advanced machines, sometimes needing to improvise on materials.
Great Reiatsu: Rin boasts a great amount of Reiatsu. It is enough to induce fear into those with only an average amount, causing them to slow down considerably. She can exert large amounts of it with considerable effect and empower her attacks making it harder to block her strikes or undo her defenses to those who are of lesser power.
Enhanced Strength: As a fighter with considerable physical conditioning, Rin has shown sufficient strength to partly block powerful attacks and cope with strong strikes better. Her attacks also hold a great deal more potency behind them, easily enough to launch other people of the ground and through objects in the way.
Great Speed: Rin has demonstrated great speed and keen reflexes in battle. Even when caught by surprise from an enemy's attack, she can react in time to skillfully dodge or counter the assault. Offensively, she can keep up a quick and rapid assault which forces most opponents on the defense, as she leaves no openings in his attacks.
Enhanced Endurance: Rin has enhanced physical stamina, allowing her to endure the hardships of battle for an extended length of time without slowing down. Only when utilizing high speed movement for an extended amount of time will she start to slow down significantly. Even when she has received an injury she can keep going without severe consequence to her battle scheme.
Enhanced Durability: Rin's body has received significant battle-conditioning and can take large amounts of punishment. She can take frequent unarmed attacks from weaker individuals on her body and come out unscathed, or with little consequence if not laugh about it instead.
Hohō Expert: Rin excels in Shunpo. Though not particularly versed in its various techniques, she is proficient enough in the technique itself to keep up with and even surprise high-level Shinigami with her speed. She can even keep up with those of master level for an indeterminate amount of time. She is also very quick at close-range, being able to perceive and dodge swift sneak attacks and come out unscathed.
Average Zanjutsu: Rin possesses skills in the use of swords during combat and knowledge of swordsmanship that can be considered reputable. She has no great skill to speak of, but can definitely hold her own against those with equal or lesser prowess, and maybe those higher to an extent. She can wield her Zanpakutō with relative ease, though. To this effect, she is able to kill a simple Hollow in one hit, as well as block all its attacks.
Kidō Expert: Rin excels at Kidō, being able to cast powerful spells up to #79, while not requiring a full incantation up to #63. She can use multiple spells in conjunction with each other, creating a unique way in which to attack and incapacitate her opponents. In this way, she can make common spells all her own. She can use a single Kidō technique on two separate targets at once. She can use high-level Kidō in rapid succession without incantations and still retain considerable control and power. She has great skill in using various spells in unique combination, even using multiple spells at the same time. However, she requires incantations when using high-level spells simultaneously.
Enhanced Senses not only can Rin utilize the normal Reiatsu sensing technique of a Shinigami, she is also in posession of superior other senses. Her sight, hearing, sense of smell and even her feel for Reiatsu are very acute and sharp; able to discern smaller sources and nuances where others could not.
Zanpakutō
Kazehasu (風藕, Wind Lotus): The sealed state for Kazehasu is a standard katana, with silver hilt wrappings and sheathe. The tsuba is actually shaped as a pinwheel. The blade length is 65cm, making it a fairly average size katana.
Shikai: Its Release Command is Chiruochiba, Kaze oyobi kawa, Hasu nezame.. A rather scant pair of fingerless black leather gloves, with a form that appears similar to a butterfly in design. There isn't much substance to them, surprisingly...
➁ Oikaze (追風, Tailwind): On release there is a constant wind that flows around Rin's forearms, which can act like an armor there which lessens damage to them from strikes. Strikes much stronger than Rin's current level will have her take full damage, whereas much weaker strikes are all but nullified. Otherwise damage received is halved. This armor also helps increase damage Rin deals through attacks involving her arms. Additionally, every time Rin punches or thrusts an arm, a burst of wind rockets in the direction of the movement at high speeds. This wind extends Rin's attack range and causes damage to all things in its path.
➀ Kamikaze (神風, Divine Wind): A simple clap of her hands allows Rin to interface with the air and mould the wind into dense air. She creates a dense sphere of air and hammers the opponent with it. It is powerful enough to create a single, large crater in the ground and incapacitate weaker enemies caught in the radius.
Bankai: Kayoukazaore (荷葉風折れ, Lotus Broken by the Wind): Rin's Bankai changes her gloves to blue fabric, holding the same shape. It also changes her attire to flowing white and blue robes, including a white cape and blue socks with neither ankles nor toes.
➀ Oikaze (追風, Tailwind): Rin's Bankai creates an accelerating wall of debris that flies alongside her at all times and is capable of penetrating sheet metal due to its speed. Additionally, she is granted full control over wind in the area immediately surrounding her body. This allows her to imbue her strikes with the power of the element, or use her control to lessen the effectiveness of an opponent's attack. Beyond these combat-related perks, Rin can also use this power to sustain flight, thus gaining maximum maneuverability so long as her Bankai remains active.
➀ Ryokufuu (緑風, Early-Summer Breeze): Rin fires off a beam of what seems to be compressed air from either glove. The air takes the form of a laser straight beam, which could rival even an F5 tornado in raw power, and the size of the blast can be more than enough to fully engulf entire bodies. Larger blasts may be created, but doing so requires Rin to first gather additional air to her hand(s). If given enough time to do this, she could eventually create a blast the size of a legitimate tornado.
Hollowfication
Hollow Mask: Rin's mask has an avian nature to it, much like a certain style of old venetian mask. The upper half of her face is obscured, as is the top portion of her head and hair from this mask. Protruding past her nose is a long, narrow, beak-like projection that curves down, ending a bit lower than her chin. Despite that, the lower portion to her face is entirely uncovered by the mask allowing her to speak freely. Beneath it her eyes seem to take on a blue glow, differing from her normally violet eyes. Rin can hold her mask for a total of 28 turns.
Power Augmentation: While Rin is wearing the mask, her Hollow powers supplement her Shinigami powers, giving her an increase in Reiatsu which is enough to equal most Shikai on its own. Coupled with her own Reiatsu she becomes a more dangerous foe while coupling her Hollow powers to her other ones.
○ Immense Strength: while Masked she is strong enough to stop even powerful attacks, when the opponent is weakened even stopping their releases with a single hand and likely end the fight with a single swing. Likewise she can also inflict tremendous damage with her bare hands, even to releases of weaker opponents. Her strength is described as being ?scary?, a fearsome weapon in its own right which can dictate the conditions of battle. She can fend of huge weapons with only one hand and easily cleave highly durable armor with a single strike.
○ Immense Speed: while Masked Rin is deceptively fast in combat, even when just leaping. Her legs can propel her fast enough to surprise even fast opponents. She can instantly close huge gaps relying on her innate speed alone, appearing to disappear from sight completely. She is fast enough to react to most surprise attacks and masterfully deliver a counter to them. In battle, she can strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for her opponents to find an opening and counterattack.
○ Hollow Combat: When Rin fights with her mask on, her fighting style becomes more instinctive than practiced. The Hollow mask makes Rin more ruthless, akin to the battle style of a Hollow. Throughout the duration of the Hollowfication, Rin displays less concern for injuries to her person, even ignoring grievous wounds to continue fighting.
○ Cero: Rin can fire a powerful blast of concentrated spiritual energy at a target. She can fire a standard Cero, taking the shape of a projectile or a beam. It requires considerable loading time, making it unwieldy in a direct confrontation. Her Cero can deal heavy damage to anyone even when not completely loaded. As an explosion however, it can deal greatly enhanced damage when suffered point blank.
○ Extended Duration: After having achieved domination of her Hollow, Rin has the ability to hold her Mask for an extended duration of time. This allows her to fight Masked for much longer amount of time than normally possible!
○ Mask Re-Summon: When her Mask is broken or runs out of time, Rin can summon it again. It will then only last for 7 turns.
Second Form
After being Hollowfied for 10 posts, the mask starts to change its shape. At this point Rin's mask will evolve to obscure her entire face and take on a full avian quality, muffling her words slightly in the process. The shape of the full mask is almost reminiscent of a plague mask of older times despite the obvious bird traits it holds. When this happens she is deeply Hollowfied and can no longer access Shikai or Bankai.
