This is the story of a Princess.

And no, not a fairy tale. There is no Prince Charming... (well there is, but not the kind of Prince who takes one off to their castle and promises happily ever after). Well, actually that statement is partially true... but it's too complicated for someone like you to understand right now. We haven't gotten that far in yet... so back to the general narration we go.

No one is going to save her, not that she needs saving. She isn't sleeping her way through life, nor is waiting to find 'the one'. Her motivations aren't always clear, and she is not really the kind of person who requires such things. She watches everything, and does what she wants. This is the story of a girl who has everyone she meets wrapped around her little finger. The kind of person who does exactly what she wants and abuses any weakness she finds in any individual. She is remorseless and calculating and sometimes that is frightening. Because this Princess is only a child.

She has not yet reached the pinnacle of her abilities, nor is it immediately obvious that she isn't the kind somewhat spoiled little girl she appears to be. Within this girl a darkness is building and eventually it will bubble over and consume her. Blanketing her in the warmth of centuries of deception. Feigned kindness, pretend childishness, and copied emotions will eventually culminate into a being known as Kumori Benihime: the Vizard Vice-Commander, wife of Kumori Raizen, the mother of his most powerful children. The buxom redhead genius with the ruby red eyes that are lighted with ill-intentions and a voice filled with laughter as her shadows devour all that stand before her.

But this is the story of before. A window into the past to show the evolution of a young girl, into a something greater. This is a is a story of transcendence. This is the story of a young girl making her own path in life based solely on what is before her. With all the simplicity of a child, her story begins.
