Kita-ku's shopping district is comparable to any bustling city, but with more down to earth business owners. Each shop is owned by an individual set of shop owners and all buildings are kept to exceedingly modest appearances. Even so, each shop has a personal touch about it and it deals mostly in haggling rather than hard and steadfast prices. Each business looks out for others in the area and it seems to have an old world feel. There are grocers, weapons specialists, florists, hardware shops, blacksmiths, and even apothecaries (who specialize in old world medicine like acupuncture).
