"Fair enough," he said regarding Gula's acceptance of her Union's current state. "Let's give them a goal to work for." And with that, their little scrimmage began, with Gula initiating. Her choice for the first attack was a simple, yet versatile skill known among its users as Strike Raid. As it approached, Luxu banished his original Keyblade and swung his newer one, the Master Seeker, toward the incoming weapon to deflect it. While Gula's Keyblade was making its way back to her, he decided to send something else along with it, choosing to throw his own Keyblade in the same manner she had done previously. Luxu's chosen version of the attack, however, engulfed his Keyblade in flames when it was performed, making it threaten to ignite the other Master on impact.

Not far from the ongoing battle, the boy known as Johan had been conversing with the two individuals he would now call his teammates. Through his periphery, he caught sight of the heavier-than-normal amount of movement occurring nearby. This brought his attention to the two Masters once again. "Two Masters are fighting," he said with his eyes wide and his mouth agape. "This is gonna be awesome! Or... dangerous..."

"Or scare them half to death... either is possible at this point." Gula mentioned as her own Keyblade was returning to her after being blocked by Luxu, it seemed that he was content to send at least one of his towards her. In so doing, he coated the whole thing in flames threatening to engulf her person in flames. Whether from knowledge of Luxu himself or having a general understanding of the use of thrown Keyblades, the young woman reached out for her own, gliding out of the way of the coming Keyblade with an amount of speed which would probably seem startling to those unfamiliar with her abilities. After doing so she tucked into a roll going straight forward Keyblade in hand threatening to strike the young man's fore with both her Keyblade and body coated in lightning, directly to his fore, while continuing her roll if she should hit or be dodged.

The girl of their new group, known as Lily also turned to begin watching the apparent show being put on by the pair of Masters in front of them. Even if it was to be exceedingly dangerous, she definitely wanted to watch, imagine what new tricks she could pick up if she could keep her eyes on both of the individuals here. "It's probably going to be both. That's cool though~ We'll learn so much!~" she mentioned seeming content to switch their getting to know each other conversation to one about the battle now taking place.

"I think it'll have the same end result regardless," he said. Instead of guarding against his thrown Keyblade, she chose to avoid the strike and charge toward him in a roll with lightning surrounding herself and her Keyblade. Given the Leopardos Master's speed advantage, Luxu had no time to wait for his Keyblade to return to him. So, instead of waiting, he re-summoned it directly to his hand. Once it was returned to him, he performed a cartwheel to his left, shrouding himself in flames that were left in his wake. If Gula were to continue as planned beyond the point that impact would have initially taken place with the male, she would find herself passing through the flames he left behind. "You know, that mask almost makes me think I'm fighting someone different."

"You're right. I guess we'll just be chatting later. This is too good already," said Johan in the face of the Masters' battle. Kou, the younger male of the group, seemed to have a slightly different opinion on this matter. "Uhh... should we maybe move away from them a bit?"

"I suppose that is true. Scary things usually spur people into action~" she said as she rolled. Of course she fully expected the young man to move out of her way, and with his pyromaniac tendencies she also expected fire to be part of the movement and she was not at all disappointed. Her ability to focus in battle allowed her to slow her own perception of time in an instant, allowing her to change her form from a rolling ball of thunder into a standing glide to the same direction Luxu had gone. Such a movement would be flawless, and likely imperceptible to their watchers, it would seem like an instantaneous directional shift. Once it was completed the young woman found herself facing the young man. "Makes you think you're fighting someone different. Sounds like a trick of the mind because we haven't seen each other's faces in ages. I thought something similar... not seeing your face~" she mentioned as her Keyblade was immediately sent into orbit around her person thus aiming to batter the young man multiple times while she kept herself in range of him. "Also... I definitely waited a second too long. These robes are a bit warm now~"

Meanwhile the young woman with the two males heard what both of them had to say. To the male known as Johan she could only nod and reply. "Yep. Definitely that.... I think I might have blinked, wasn't she headed straight for the flames?" she said. The other male seemed to think they required a bit of distance as such the girl tilted her head back just a bit. "If you're worried about it Kou, we can move up to the roof there..." she said with a slight twitch of her head towards a small ledge which was up and away enough to practically clear an arena for the combat they were watching while leaving the trio out of harm's way... relatively speaking.

"I... I don't know. I thought maybe I had blinked too," Johan added to the query posed by Lilynette. It was highly unlikely that both parties had blinked, and such a thought was beginning to make Johan side with the boy named Kou on moving. Taking Lilynette's suggested path into account, he leaped toward the rooftop, with Kou following shortly behind. "I'm all for it; it's kinda scary down here."

"We could always ditch the get-ups and do things normally," Luxu stated. It seemed Gula had successfully utilized her high maneuverability to escape the flame trap he had set for her, even while having her clothes allegedly warmed by the fire. The next Raid skill used by Gula first met a duck performed by Luxu, followed by a barrier formed to keep the latter strikes at bay as he worked toward his next move. "We've got a bit of a cliche going. Let's step it up though," he said. As his barrier disappeared, he held his Keyblade overhead and formed a large ball of fire at its tip. The heat from this spell was great enough to be felt at the location of the others, even if they all moved, and in the moment of this spell's initiation, Luxu's hood flew back. He stared directly into the eye of his friend and opponent, his amber gaze joined by a surprisingly casual grin as he spoke. "Fire!" Of the six Masters in this world, Luxu's proverbial crown could be considered one of flames. His spell grew a great deal larger than the norm, and began launching additional balls of fire from its core in all directions.

"Yep, time to move." And with that Lilynette joined the change in venue by hopping up, such a movement would lead to dent being left behind in the ground as she found higher ground to avoid their Master, and her friends' rather friendly but dangerous competition. Which seemed to be heating up in present moments.

"I suppose we could." she said as she shifted around, recalling her Keyblade after a few strikes were dodged and met by a barrier of some sort. She fully acknowledged the boy's words about their ongoing cliche and she seemed to find it amusing in some way. "And I thought I was the one who read one too many novels. Just as well... when we start taking this more seriously... they may begin to understand." she thought absently. She knew that most didn't understand why the group chosen by the Master was chosen as they were, but if the boy before her wore a crown of flames... then the young woman donned one of lightning, as flames began to grow and spread from a single command the woman didn't seem at all concerned. In fact the only change in her countenance was a raise of her Keyblade which left it pointed at the sky. "Thunder." A gentle twist of her wrist and a word seemed to call down multiple bolts of strong lighting aiming to strike each of the fire balls released by the young man halting their progress and done with enough power to blow back the young woman's half mask and hood. Revealing her face and rather vibrant green eyes as well as tufts of white hair around her face. "Hmm, that's better. Nice to see you again~" she said seemingly amused by this entire situation. But this wasn't all she had to offer, her blade seemed to be teeming with electrical energy and it was soon shining causing the young woman to jump and then begin trying to bash the young man with a lightning covered Keyblade. If the heat of the flames of Sion were felt, then the static charge which would remain after the woman's most recent choice in defense would also be felt. It was quite an interesting clash, though she herself was no magician in any real sense of the word.

Having joined the others on higher ground, Lily was stunned into silence by the thing she was witnessing below her. And she was immediately both hot and felt the tiniest prickle of electricity against her skin. It was quite odd, that these two were so obviously powerful, but not actually trying to harm each other. She could only imagine what would happen if either of them put forth any real effort. And in this moment, though she realized she stood above a great number of her peers, she still couldn't hold a candle to either of the two individuals below. Such a realization would be obvious on her face as her mouth opened and closed, she was literally speechless.

"I'm sure they will." The fireballs unleashed by Luxu did not last long. While they would have gone on to cause heavy damage across a wide range, Gula went about eliminating them one by one using her own Thunder element spell. During this time, the young woman's mask and hood were blown away. Following a whistle, Luxu spoke. "Likewise. Easily ten times better without the mask," he commented. Even though the offshoots of his attack were quickly dealt with, Luxu still had the original fireball. After pulling his Keyblade back, he swung it forward to unleash said fireball in a projectile toward Gula. "Flare!" he called out. On impact with Gula, or with anything for that matter, this fireball would trigger a wide-scale explosion to deal great concussive and burning damage.

On the rooftop, Kou fanned himself with his left hand, while Johan pulled on his collar and gazed upon his free hand to witness the hairs on it stand straight. Even this warm-up for the Masters was something that went far beyond their comprehension. "These are Masters... they're more ridiculous than I could have thought."

"Oh, stop it you~" the girl mentioned a minor blush coming to her face. It wasn't anything she could do about such a thing, she rarely felt the slightest bit flustered about anything, but such commentary was the sort of thing that got to her, specifically from this young man in her present company. Still there was the matter of the original fireball he was still holding on to, and though her blade was still charged with electricity, there was very little she could think of to do aside from confront the large ball of fire with three of thunder. "Plasma~" she called as her own attack blasted from the tip of her Keyblade, to collide with the ball of fire causing massive and widespread damage right between the pair of them. Heat, electricity and concussive damage would radiate outwards as two completely ridiculous spells crashed into each other. When they did she took the opportunity to glide around doing her best to avoid any unnecessary damage while she did. But when the dust settled the girl would be covered in soot and coughing just a tad wiping dust from her face a couple of meters away from Luxu himself. "Those two spells... really don't like each other very much." she mentioned in a seemingly joking manner. If this continued on in such a way she could see this entire section of the world being completely and utterly marred by their behavior. Still, it was more than a little bit of fun. Beyond this point there was the matter that Gula had used several spells she generally avoided because though she was skilled enough to use them, she had far fewer magical reserves than she had physical energy. At heart she was still more focused on the speed of her body than she was the strength of her magic, so in this sort of combat, Luxu would in her mind, emerge victorious. Not that she had any problem with this...

Lily seemed to finally find her voice again, though her throat was admittedly dry and she felt as if she had goose bumps from the previous bouts of electrical energy. If nothing else, the explosion between the pair of spells used seemed to be something that mystified the girl. "They are way outta my league too. I'm stunned they are even allowed to do stuff." she said as if she was completely taken aback. After all it wasn't often that one got to witness a clashing such as this one, without being maimed by the experience, and though the concussive blow, heat and static had spread about the area, shaking the very ground and building they were atop, the trio would likely be no worse for wear.

"Why would I stop when it's working?" he said with a cheeky grin as two spells collided and created a blast the likes of which repelled Luxu. He came to a skidding stop after moving a few meters back, still holding his left arm over his face. "Ugh! I think it got in my mouth!" he said. With his left sleeve, Luxu took a moment to wipe off his face, thinking it to be an appropriate time for at least a brief pause. "Yeah... let's not do that again when we're that close. Good work on that Magic, though. I might need to train more to keep up."

  10. #140
"Well..." she thought about it more, and surprisingly enough, Gula didn't have an answer to why he should stop something that was obviously working. Even so, it appeared that they were both repelled by the blast they'd created and while she was busy wiping soot and the like from her own face, her opponent was doing the same. His mentioned that he'd managed to get some in his mouth make her laugh a little, but she didn't tease him about this. Instead, she choose to address what was said after, returning to her usual calm and collected demeanor. "Thank you very much. I see that you are indeed still quite the pyromaniac~" she said with a single note of teasing about the nature of his spell usage. Moving right along, she chose to address the latter half of his statement next. "What are you talking about you might need to train more? You're the magic specialist, I mean practice if you want... but no need to be so modest. Especially on my account." she said with a bit of a smile. "I am the one who needs more training, that spell is the pinnacle of my magical abilities. In fact, the last time I tried it... I passed out. So, I'm actually surprised it worked at all~" she said. In true scholarly fashion, she tended to create things and use them only to figure out how they worked. And once she understood them, she moved on to more practical things. The Plasma spell she used as a variation of her 'Thunder' based skills was one such impractically created spell. While they were having her break time she finally stopped rubbing her face, hoping it to be clean enough given the massive blast the pair had created.
