Biography:

Kasmina was born to the happily married couple of the Baron Dacian and her mother in the past. The former Baroness Dacian was a strong woman of quick wit and easy temperament and perfectly capable of keeping the Baron Dacian's temperament in check. Kasmina grew up a happy healthy child who loved both her mother and father deeply. She wanted for nothing as a lower class nobility and was educated in various things by her mother who has been a personal tutor for some children before marrying. When she was 8 her mother became pregnant with another child, much to everyone's happiness. But as her mother's pregnancy progressed there were complications which led to the woman's untimely demise, as well as the death of her unborn child.

Kasmina was devastated by the death of her mother, and the loss of her unborn younger sibling. Her father was more devastated than he let on. He became ornery and began keeping things from Kasmina. Treating her like she was a child or a thing to be protected and longer the daughter he had fun with and taught the importance of business and being hospitable. Not able to cope with the death of his wife, the Baron Dacian fell into disarray. Several years were spent of Kasmina pulling this man out of taverns and learning to play cards and gamble, to help clear his debts and keep their lives together. By the time she was twelve he'd eventually found himself again. And he remarried about a year after that, to a woman only a few years older than Kasmina herself. But her step mother, while a kind and gentle soul, was not her mother and had no real power to keep her father's baser greed in check. Soon after her marriage the second Baroness Dacian found herself with child and again the family was overjoyed. The shadow of her father began to emerge from deep within himself, seemingly excited by the idea of having more children. When the little boy, aptly named Cosmin was born, the Baron Dacian became strange.

His life became about making sure he had to provide for his family, and mainly that he had something to leave behind for his son. Out the window went all the time spent grieving for his dead wife at the cost of his daughter and instead he began to look at his daughter as his ticket up in the world. As she aged, Kasmina grew into a true beauty, with dark rich hair and the stunningly rare emerald green eyes which had set her mother apart from other women in the past. And her father saw the easiest way to capitalize upon this. He began treating his daughter's life as if it were a business transaction. To make up for his failings after the death of his first wife, and recount his business holdings and the like. Ignoring her whims and wishes in a way he hadn't done in her entire life, in order to push her into a marriage which would grant him status and property.

When it was made clear to Kasmina that she'd be used as a business device and that her choices and feelings no longer mattered, the young woman began to act out. She began plotting her escape from her wretched life, using the skills she'd had to learn to protect her father from his debt collectors. She began to go out at night to the taverns were her peers, the other children of barons and lords gathered to play cards and began winning properties from them. This gambling was the ultimate act of retribution as she made herself independently wealthy at the cost of those who couldn't possibly appreciate the freedoms they were granted. Keeping them all in a dusty suitcase left to her by her mother which contained a single silver ring in it initially which became a lucky charm for the young woman, which she still wears upon the index finger of her left hand today. Such an activity was carried on for over a year as the young woman developed a love of the vice of gambling. She started to feel it as something of a thrill, something to give her back the life which was slowly being drained away from her by the actions of her father. It was one piece of salvation in the wretchedness she'd come to call her life, and thought it was not actually any salvation from her situation, it was a piece of happiness she accepted as payment for her future suffering.

And then late one evening, she met the Viscount Phantomhive in the alley after seeing him engaged in some rather questionable activities. She took it upon herself to take the ultimate gamble. She bet her life, against the kindness of a man she thought could quite possibly be a monster. But this gamble was even richer than any other she'd ever taken, she found him to be a good man, clever witty and funny and contact with him, seemed to stir something in her much deeper than even gambling had ever managed. Even with her mind screaming at her about the dangers of their interaction, she remained curious and interested. And went said man, went on to protect her from a verbal tongue lashing from her father, she became even more engrossed. She found herself in his debt by virtue of him saving her well-being from being further cut down by her father's temperament, and is presently looking for a way to repay him. Currently his kindness has bought him her silence about his 'night time activities' but she feels like this isn't enough to repay the debt.
She is currently looking for a more proper way to convey her feelings about him.

Powers & Abilities:

The Power of Altruism: Kasmina's primary and most powerful ability is one of psychic quality. It is considered opposite of the Power of Dominance as it is a power which gives selflessly to those it is used upon. What it gives is a mental state, it is a power which allows Kasmina to give other people different or improved moods based on her own. Though this she can manipulate targets in ways both minor and major. She can change their moods from aggressive to passive, make people act kind or angry. If people are manipulated by this mood enhancement she can take that energy and feed off it, especially if she has a unique understanding of the emotion or mood she is causing. She can use this to absorb new feelings or powers associated with the moods she creates as well as expand her own abilities based off her feedings through this power.
