The more Makima found out about their growth and abilities, the more Yugi was threatened by the strength of her mana. He could barely manage against its normal flow, but the gushing was making his head spin. Even so, Yugi wouldn't be deterred from doing his job; this was one of few ways he foresaw an early increase to her Intimacy. Drowning was the least of his concern either way. In terms of quantity, one would be hard-pressed to compete with Miko. Quality, however... Well, Yugi was already struggling. He could feel his mind slipping, and even noticed the other part of that 'Leashed Favorite' title activating to help protect his mind from magical effects. It was easy to believe Makima's mana alone had some psychological powers attributed to it.
By the time that other male, feminine though his face seemed, entered the room, there was some talk about combining items and learning spells. That... was none of his business, and he'd proceed as such. There seemed to have been a mix-up in message delivery. Makima ordered someone to pick Hashimoto Kaito up for healing. The message delivered, however, was that someone needed to be... taken care of. The green-haired man scoffed. "You're going to need someone new to work the desk downstairs. That woman has irreparable damage to her brain stem," he said as if hinting at that person's future, not their current state. Kaito would know something resembling relief, but only just. Instead of relaxing, knowing he didn't have to worry about being tortured or murdered, it seemed Makima was 'kindly suggesting' that he stay behind for experimental healing by the brunette. He only had a bucket for physical support, and now this? Defeat consumed the red-haired male as he looked away from the newcomer. Ah, but what of the green-haired man? "Did I come here for no reason?" he asked, as though receiving an affirmative answer would have him holding someone accountable for a waste of time.
