Rikuya had a very simple immediate future ahead of him. He'd get a map of the perimeter for this particular Dungeon Break, scout and secure it, and have a relatively easy time doing so now that the boss had already been taken care of. Makima was already working on the potential issue of any wandering civilians, so he had no need to deal with them either. All he had to do now was... apparently pass the phone along to Ai and go about his business. "Hai hai. I'll report directly to the association when I'm done here. Ja," he said, taking a moment to view the map sent to Ai's phone while holding it in reaching distance of the girl herself. "Shido-san would like to speak with you," he said to the blonde.

Ren gently refused the offer of snacks, not wanting to impose on some random girl he didn't even know the name of. Afterwards though, she offered to help with the cooking if he found himself in need. That was something he wouldn't really turn down. The man he called 'Boss' had only just started teaching him the ways of Leblanc's curry, so his attempts were absolutely in need of refinement. "I might not be able to say no to that. Arigatou gozaimasu," he said. The girl then introduced herself, clearly intending to go for that shower afterwards. Ren didn't realize his name had yet to be shared; it was a very strange meeting after all. "Amamiya Ren... desu," he greeted, the slightest incline of his head as 'Misaki' entered that narrow corridor behind the kitchen. He hovered around the entrance to ensure she could safely make her way toward the shower. That all seemed fine, but... he didn't walk very far away after she made it there. Soon enough, he'd be leaning around the corner and looking down the corridor. Indeed, Amamiya Ren had no problem being a peeping tom.

All the while, another of the high-ranking Gates currently in the prefecture was being finished. Completely disregarding the combat Hunters dealing with the boss, there was a man just over 30 with short, light brown hair featuring gray tips. His gear was simple padding, seeming more suited to carrying lighter equipment on his person than actually defending against the dangers of a Dungeon. At the moment, the man was slipping a hand into his breast pocket to retrieve and equip a thin pair of glasses ─ which he'd don to inspect some mysterious array carvings on metal tablets within the cave-like dimension. "This is what I was talking about. Of all the dungeon types, I've only ever seen things like these in dungeons that contain Ghost-type magic beasts. It's almost like these creatures should belong to their own societies in a way. Some of these symbols look like they should form a language, meaning... this could be anything as simple as a recipe, or anything as complex as a magical or scientific formula."

The simplicity of Rikuya's upcoming night was not something that would be matched by Ai. Though she obviously wouldn't be needed to stay on the scene a looming threat appeared over her head like a depressing raincloud. Even as Rikuya gave his last few words to Makima over the phone that woman was handing out orders to others. Hearing that he'd report directly when he was done and knowing he'd take care of everything else she had but one thing to say, "Good boy," she offered in response to his apparent farewell. Though she'd asked to speak to the girl in question, Ai's covered face turned to Rikuya and her eyes shifted towards her phone. She accepted it, like it was an active grenade and steeled herself for the oddity of the coming conversation. "Moshi moshi," Ai started if only to keep things moving forward. Makima heard this girl speak and had but one thing to say to her as well, "Hayasaka, report to me at HQ tomorrow before 5pm," she stated as if she didn't expect an argument. An entire business day, to report directly to Makima for what would likely be an interrogation. "H-hai, I understand," Ai managed while swearing in her head. This was the last thing she wanted to do tomorrow. Still, if she had until five, she could make sure Kaguya was settled in whatever activity she had going on, and swing by for a fw hours. "Say goodbye," was Makima's order, one which Ai felt almost compelled to go along with. "Hai, ja ne, Shido-san." Ai offered before hanging up her phone. A second later, a series of images appeared in her texts so she turned them back towards Rikuya. "I assume these are for you," she stated as she aimed to show him but readied herself to depart.

At the same time, Miko and the fluffy haired male were getting to know each other a little better. Bit by bit the information was coming together. He had refused her option of snacks she had to offer, implying that he was at least the standard kind of Japanese at base. But, he'd also claimed he couldn't turn down help with cooking if that was the route he'd decided to take. "Hai hai, it's no problem♪~" Miko claimed happily. She'd already cooked one meal today, helping someone else get their bearings in a kitchen was far from an oddity. And for her troubles and introduction she also received a name in turn. Yes, it was one she was already familiar with but, introductions of the self were important. "A♪~ma♪~mi♪~ya♪~kun♪~" she said his name with the rhythm her voice most wanted to apply to it. Like it was a form of remembering but it wasn't, she simply often chirped things out like that in certain situations. Beyond that point, she was wandering down that dark hallway with someone seemingly there to make sure she got there safely. That wasn't all too odd, but the fact that she didn't hear his steps shuffling back afterwards was odd. 'Oh? Is that just a taking advantage of a situation thing... or is he always like that?' she couldn't help but wonder. Still it wouldn't stop her from turning on the water an stripping out of her clothes, knowing that someone was there, made her life a little awkward so she decided to distract herself just a bit and find out how closely he was watching as she stepped into the shower, she began singing... strangely enough a song she had a large part in writing.

    "I am unwritten♪~
    Can't read my miiiind♫~
    I'm undefiiiiined♫~"

Meanwhile, at one of those other high ranking Dungeons, a young woman dressed a bit like a punk was standing off to the side. She had in her hands a strange plant which she was cataloguing for her own purposes. The words of the other man with her made her look up, her red eyes narrowed and her blue lipstick accentuating a smirking mouth. "Well, take some sample pictures of it. If kids can figure out the alien languages and elvish from reading books, I'm sure someone, somewhere can work out ghost language. I mean if all else fails I'm sure a Medium would try at least~" she joked about the situation while managing to offer a little insight. "Admittedly though, I've also only seen these plants in this kind of dungeon it implies environmental differences, from a natural scientist perspective," she offered more distinctly. Still, a few more specimens to work with was far from bad. As far as she could tell, each type of creature had it's own type of environment with very few overlaps. Different kinds of plants, different temperatures, and even different rocks from a completely observational standpoint. As a scientist there were far too many unknowns, and then there was what she was doing and that had everything to do with a very specific kind of reaction to these new phenomenon.

Rikuya waited around while Ai took the phone, needing only to get a proper inspection of the radius he was to secure. He'd already seen the map, and now had to plan a route. Once Ai ended her call with the association, he looked at her phone again without taking it. "Hai. Let's see... I should be able to finish before noon if I'm by myself and go from the outside in, then back out. If I'm lucky, I'll actually get something done," he murmured for no particular reason. With the necessary information logged away in his memory, Rikuya stepped away. "I'll get started then. Ja ne, Hayasaka-san. Good luck with your meeting tomorrow!" he said, vanishing in a flash thereafter.

Meanwhile, another person was at the receiving end of that strange way Miko spoke certain names. Odd as it was to hear, he'd seen and heard stranger... less arousing, things before. Regardless, Miko, or Misaki as she was being called, made her way down the hall to the shower. Ren didn't separate himself from the end of the hall, deciding if she was willing to fornicate in a café after hours, she likely wouldn't be too surprised to have someone peeping on her. Besides, Ren had some things to test. The girl didn't hear him leave the hallway mere moments ago, but... she also didn't hear him entering the building until he was already safe inside. The reason for that was likely the same reason his movements were silent going down the hall, closer to that shower. During that same approach, he blended into the hallway shadows. 'Might as well get use out of being awakened in my daily life too,' he thought.

A discussion of academic proportions was occurring within a dungeon all the while. A full group of Hunters was busy dealing with the illusions of a shamanic specter, while two members of the party simply... pontificated the nature of some things found in the dungeon. When told to take a picture of the runes he was looking at, the male of that pair scoffed. "If only life were so easy. Photograph MagiTek is still such an annoyance to make work across different types of dungeons. One day. For now, the porters should bring this slab back," he mused, taking a piece of chalk to mark the ground right next to the slab. "Hopefully they're quick enough this time," he added. "I'll have that sent to the linguistics department since it looks more intact than similar pieces I've found. That plant you have ─ is it along the lines of what you were looking for?"

Ai had managed to get off the phone with Makima with relative ease. Upon doing so she was showing Rikuya the map she'd been sent. At the same time she got to listen to the lad talking himself through a plan. That methodology and speech pattern were all too familiar to Ai, especially after a certain person's recent and unexpected return. 'Maybe it's just coincidental... because I've seen her so recently and spent so much time with her...' Ai thought as she prepared to leave, only to be wished odd luck with her meeting. "I didn't say..." she started to question it but then he was already vanished from sight. 'That was so like Miko I am almost confused. Did he hear that?' she wondered. Makima hadn't been loud enough to be overheard, that woman didn't raise her voice at all. And she'd not said anything but acknowledgement... Strange. So strange. 'Maybe I'm over thinking it, though... he does kind of look like her too...' she thought shaking it off and beginning her trek back to her own apartment. She wasn't a completely unreasonable person. She'd also be keeping an eye out for any creatures that needed to be sniped in the route she'd take home.

At the same time, Miko was beginning to wonder about how the people she found out were targets were different. She could take hints, the name of his route, the low starting compatibility his silent protagonist energy, all of those were things that contributed to his characterization. Well, personality likely would have been the better word, but it was easier for her to consider it her own way. If she was being thrown into an Otome Situation, it was best if she thought of it in the terms she understood most easily. She continued singing in the shower, while rinsing her entire body and grabbing the bath sponge. She'd soap up the sponge and by the time she was scrubbing her body with delicate, precise and meticulous care, she'd gotten through a large part of it. She couldn't shake the feeling she might have been watched, but she also hadn't heard the lad moving... Up on the tips of her right foot's toes, she spun placing her left leg against the shower wall to soap it from thigh up to toes.

    "I break tradition♫~

    Yeah♪~ Yeah~

    We've been condiiitioned♪~

Meanwhile a pair of scholarly individuals were discussing the oddities of Dungeons and all that went along with trying to learn as much as possible about the phenomenon surrounding 'Gates'. A joke was made by that punkish doctor who was steadily picking flowers studying their physical form and shaking her head. "Between Kaiba Corp, Capsule Corp and the IPC I'm sure someone will get it down pretty soon. For now... I guess you'll have to be pleased there are still Hunters who are too weak for fighting but still strong enough for leg work," she said seeming to give it a bit more thought after making a joke like that. Was it by design that not everyone had the same power base even after awakening. Was hierarchy being redefined based solely on mana output or could it be something more? With all of those questions in her head, the flower she held was a rather simple thing to explain. "Hai, it seems almost mana neutral... and functions chemically similar to antihistamines. I am thinking it could be used to manufaction something to test out a theory of mine..." she expressed. "Sadly they are only found in these Ghostly Dungeons, and it's annoying to get in on one of these without having to do a ridiculous amount of healing to be given the time to search them out," she explained. She'd had a small collection of such flowers with various effects. She'd also collected some other samples from different dungeons and noticed many had different qualities attributed to them. If she could find the right mix perhaps she could finally make a breakthrough.
